Frankly, if there is enough proof to remove their pretend internet points then there is enough to permanently ban them from playing online. You cheat and hurt the experience for others then you need to rebuy the game.
I really hope they have something better in the works than checking in weekly and docking points from the worst offenders. Why don’t they just disincentivize the entire situation? If you disconnect, you lose. If you’re disconnected on, you win.
Shirayuki (Karin), had more than 2k LP and saw him coming from a mile away… almost perfected in the first 10 seconds.
The penalty is a nice implementation though bronze may get a whole lot more annoying if the rage quitters are forced down there.
80-90% disconnect rate is quite high. I can’t even imagine the most chronic ragequitters disconnect that much. There are still going to be players taking advantage of the system until it’s patched.
You better be able to back it up. All I am gonna say. Once you get demonized people will challenge you every chance they get. Got most of your points back? Ok. Get ready for some sets.
If they have a system that identify disconnect rates why they don’t just award points to the person who got disconnected on? are good mannerd players not worthy to get their due ? but how would I know, maybe its not that simple.
I think I will buy Mortal Kombat XL with Street Fighter V so once I am pissed off over rage quitters I go to Mortal Kombat XL and watch rage quitters explode to my satisfaction. I am really disappointed with Capcom, how they didn’t see this coming even though the beta had its fair share of rage quitters. I still remember the guy I played against almost 10 times back to back and he rage quits every time even though it was just a beta back than :(.
Sorry about the rant, I am just looking forward to play this game and it sadden me that , beyond its gameplay, its severely unpolished and rushed.
I must also say. 30 people being resetted, is quite low, considering the many different people on the list. I say reset anyone over 25% disconnect rate. I say award the points to the person being disconnected, and then patch the game in the future where that stuff is automatic. If a girlfriend or some other unforseen thing makes you disconnect, that should be few and far between, so the loss of 20-30 LP points shouldn’t be much to worry about. The real disconnectors however, wouldn’t have an “occasional” disconnect, that stuff would be much more consistent. Make them lose their points, and then periodically, just reset it. Problem solved
This update from Capcom instills NO CONFIDENCE. So only 30 people will be penalized and it sounds like Capcom is only planning to penalize ppl with 80-90% disconnect rates? I guess its safe to ragequit 50% of the time? Thats not going to do anything. No actual solution at the moment and a vague ETA on things to come.
But theres more! Please wait until week 2 of March so we can tell you what our March update will consist of!
