Ultra Plat Cammy with 0 fundamentals just rage quit on me–Danslip6. I remember him being a good rolento player in USF4 but that character was for frauds.
So, I was talking about rage quitting with my co-workers, albeit not in the specific context of fighting games. I was surprised by how few thought it was okay to have harsh rage quitting penalties, and how many thought it was perfectly acceptable to rage quit every now and then because you were salty. Stuff like KI’s jail system was called “unfair” and “excessive”. It actually struck me that I got way more upset by this than I thought I would. I guess I’ve been living in my own little bubble where only LTG-tier assholes RQ, only to find out that people I consider pretty decent dudes think it’s perfectly acceptable and can’t understand why they’d be punished for it.
Sounds like you work with some salty rage quitters. Its not fair for us to waste our time only to get boned on points. I take my loss, you should too. If I RQ I would be beyond gold by now. But Im still in Ultra Silver.
Egmadbullrazer, Necalli rage quit. FrankDux_89, Nash rage quit.
Edit: jjjon123, Bison rage quit.
Edit 2: DuuuMaaa, Ken rage quit. May have had more U’s or A’s in name didn’t care to check. Had 41 game win streak.
I’m on PC now and I was gonna stay down to like bronze and just be a cute lil nooblet on my new account, but I needed fight money to buy ibuki and new stages.
I went from bronze to platinum in like a day.
Let me tell you that through the journey, I played through some hilarious RQ shit that I either streamed or unfortunately should’ve had record on to catch.
Two things:
[] Most rage quitters are in that silver to gold range.
[] You’ll know a rage quitter based on the lag switching.
I fought this nacalli player that was gold or ultra gold. Bodied him so bad he wanted a rematch and bodied him with a perfect or so in the first round and then the next one he got a full combo on me then RQ’s out of rage since he didn’t want to take the risk of losing any more points.
I fought another dude who was playing balrog and lagswitching. He thought he’d win with the lag but he ended up getting beat so bad that he tried his hardest in the end to lag it out and then super and I ended up PARRYING his super and blowing him up.
He rq’d right after.
I’m definitely gonna upload whatever I got if it’s not already on my stream cause last night was great.
