I can’t upload the video at this time. It’s was a casual match. He used Guile. He was a Sliver rank. He was taking on my F.A.N.G. In round two I gained a life lead at the start of the match using a cross up combo and ending into my CA. He quit during the flash. I’m not the best F.A.N.G. player at all, but I still take my losses like a F.A.N.G. play should.

Just skip to 1:00 in, this guy was slipping and sliding nonstop.
So I played this guy who’s considered to be a pretty well known player in his country’s fighting game scene, but to my surprise the match ended the way it ended.
I posted this on my countries group as it was quite funny to see a guy like that rage quit. One of my friends from the local scene went over to their community page and posted the vid, accusing him of rage quitting. The response was really really scary, since the person in question is a stand up guy in the community, my friend got chewed and spit out.

I have to keep in mind that the big guys are exempted from general rules.
My problem is, even if they had said something like " he dced, so what? Big deal" it would’ve been perfectly understandable. But to completely dismiss the obvious evidence without even a shred of thought is disgusting and makes me think of a few things that are wrong with the society as a whole today.

Oh yeah I’ve always done that. Not only do you get some fun responses, but it actually negates a lot of them from scamming you in the future. There are of course some chronic trolls, but most people seem to think they were being clever
One recent guy told me it’s not a ragequit because he still had lots of health left. I send the video of him RQing after he is stunned with 10% life.
Complete meltdown.
I got disconnected against a guy thanks to a rainstorm. Granted, I was “clearly” going to win (read: pretty significant life lead and one round up) and had already swept the guy 2-0 before the runback, but still. Feels bad man. The guy won’t get the points from my disconnect. I almost feel like I wanted the guy to call me out so I could try to explain. Hell, if we had some kind of function where I could challenge the guy on ranked I would’ve given him a chance to earn the points back once I had an internet connection again.
Started playing Ranked again. Got 2 ragequitters. Before today, I only had 3 people RQ on me in ranked since I got SFV. Either Australian players don’t rage quit much, I’m just lucky not to find rage quitters or I haven’t played a lot of ranked to run into a lot of them. Anyways:

Most of my matches with rage quitters have been from PS4 players it seems. Not taking jabs at PS4 players, but it’s just 6 of the 7 matches i had where people rq’ed on me were from PS4 (Counting casuals as well).
Also I decided to look up one of the people that ragequit on me out of curiosity. That player is now Super Platnium.

So I of course sent messages to ForeverBison and Tail123 with links to their respective quits. Silence from Tail123, and ForeverBison was on about how its his “play account” and how it means nothing yada yada yada and I was his first match and he was warming up. So I told him to warm up and let me know when he was ready for a first to 5. 3 DAYS LATER he messages me and tells me to let him know when I am ready to lose. LOL. Ok buddy.
I actually looked up Torkemada on Steam and was actually very salty at that point, so I reported him to steam. Nothing will probably happen, and I now wish I didnt, but I was super pissed at that time.
valve will of course do nothing when someone quits on you in a game, so as you said. the report will bring you nothing.
its capcoms game and they are in charge…and i think we all know how important that topic is for them.
2016 and they dont manage to implement a system which takes point from a quitter and gives it to the guy who didnt.
in mkx you even got a special quitality when that happens…
ranked needs to be completely reworked, which includes the matchmaking system and how you have to farm
for a stupid long time to get to the highest rank.
Some people have called me scrub and coward for saying no to a rematch on ranked. But, can you blame me? With all those RQ’s around there I rather step aside with my loss/win.
Of course I do rematch, but I have to be 100% sure that my opponent isn’t a RQ.
