Just remove whatever points they were going to lose if they had lost, add however many points the winner would have gotten if they had won and keep an internal disconnect percentage and if it exceeds some threshold they will start getting prioritized matchmaking with other quitters. No need to overcomplicate such a simple issue.

Donât think it needs to be that complicated. Just give them a loss. They wonât quit again.
A disconnect for any reason should be counted as a loss.
If you wanna create parameters to narrow it down further, then make it so that a disconnect for any reason after the first round is considered a loss.

Ran into a guy that had a 17 win streak and only 10 hours logged into the game on Steam. His battle log shows him having the win streak since his first match. I lost but I find it pretty suspicious IMO. ID is nenboon.

Agree with above, though it would be neat to have an option to quit a match if its too laggy.
Maybe a mutual quit. If both agree then the match ends, no points won/lost.

I have the absolute perfect solution for rage quits. I was watching Max on twitch and he came against a Vega with a 20 game win streak. Max, as usually, play a solid game and beats him in the first round, then as the second round begin, Vega backed up and then disconnected. Max was in disbelief as he didnât want to believe that he actually quit to save his streak. But me along with all the rest of the chat believed he did. As to my solution, if a person quit more than 3 times in a day or have a d/c percentage over 10%, he should be banned from ranked for 48 hours, go down a league rank and lose 1000 LP all at once. Once the ban is over the quit counter and percentage reset but keeps a strike against you. 2nd offenders is banned for 72 hours goes down 2 league ranks and lose 1500 LP. 3rd time, youâre permanently banned from ranked match and lose all you LP, basically erasing you from the leaderboards. Hopefully they find a solution, but if someone can show this post to Capcom, it may give them ideas how to punish these salty losers with false rankings. Also one more thing, for people who rage quit, there should have a a indicator on they profile they canât get rid of, warning the opponents they come against that theyâre a rage quitter and gives you the option to opt out if you donât want to face them. To counter this and figure out people who legit has to quit and habitual quitter is a new thing that not in any fighting game, a mercy quit option. But, thereâs a catch, you can only use the option in the first round AND it only active during the first 10 seconds of the match. Anything after that is considered a rage quit.

Back in the day when Champion Edition was new to the arcade (giving my age away a bit here) I had a guy do the arcade version of a rage quit, he switched off the machine at the power plug. Idiot was so pissed of that he forgot he had money queded up in the machine.
Only had two ragequits, which is a relief compared to how it was for me when SF4 had just come out. I may just be lucky this time around.
