Ok, now the rage quitting is getting ridiculous. My game freezes up when I get RQ’ed on.
In case you’re one of the people RQ’ing and reading this, go ahead and do it at the beginning of the match and not after I’ve mercilessly slaughtered your team and you have pixels left on your last character. It would save us both a lot of time and effort in the end.
In fact why don’t you do one step better and just kill yourself.

No, thats a typical cheap post. Youre defending a guy who locks up the GAME, besides his opponent. If it were a tourney match, do you honestly think judges would be impressed at how he played? Of course not. And every good player loses to cheap fighters. He isnt a challenge, because I know if he played straight-up, Id beat the living daylights out of him. And he knows it, so to save face, he resorts to keep-away and chip tactics. And how hard is it to “execute” lock-down? A six year old can do that crap. But what takes practice and TALENT, is performing impressive combos on opponents. If there was a rating system for MvC2 gamestyles, lock-down would get the lowest rating. Because even though peps hoo-ray and cheer for this style, THEY themselves dont like that style against them. So, its a contradiction, and no one really cares to address it. Pathetic…A great game has been brought to us, to ENJOY the gameplay, and some saps come along and infect it with cheap play. Ask anybody on here, how they feel about lock-down. They might say “to each his own”, but in their hearts, theyre saying “I HATE THAT CRAP!!!” Even if they have owned them, they still hate the style. Its like two guys fighting, one of them slips and falls, and the other guy gets on top of him and wont let him up. You dont do that, you let the MAN get back on his feet, and continue your battle. Thats a true fighter…
And for as Spiral not having other options? Huh? Have you seen Spiral non-sword combos? Well, if you havent, I have plenty. Spiral corner combo: cr.hk, lk,lp,lk,lp/ leg grab/Thanos bubble, six arm-combo/THC…Simple heh? See, I dont play cheap with my Spiral, I use all that she has in her arsenal, power-ups, speed-ups, level 3, everything. You’ll get a ton of respect if you use everything she has, rather than using those old trap tactics. And its not that easy to rape Captcom assist, you have to time your stuff. And he obviously knew how to protect him well, so it kinda got frustrating. I know, if youre a real MvC2 gamer, youve exp’d a Captcom hatred, so dont portray some sort of defender of this style…

But if thats your main tactic with Doom, then I would call you a cheap player. Doom has more to his arsenal than just aerial photon’n all day to chip. And if thats the only real thing you can do with him, well…Youre not even worth mentioning with actual cheap players. I chip too, dont get me wrong, its beneficial. But, just planning to chip lowers your mentality of expanding your game in MvC2. Everyone can chip, its easy. But I cant live with myself (knowing Im a true combo expert) to just bore my opponents to death with chip tactics. Even with chip characters, Strider/Doom, Spiral/Doom, I mix it up, and not do the obvious crap. Theres people who play that way specifically for tourneys. They figure, since its hard to defend against in casual play, tourney play will be no different. And in most cases, theyre right. Its about money, they win the $$$, so they keep playng that way. I can respect that, somewhat. But I cant respect someone playing that way in casual play, where nothing is at stake. They just do it to be amused at how frustrated their opponent gets with them. Would you respect someone who played that way? Almost as if they have spite towards their opponent? Yeah, its not so cool, now that you see what its really about…

Go through my post history? You’ll find (except for the intentionally provoking Dan post) solid, basic advice to better your characters. Im not a expert, but I am a true gamer with a lot of MvC2 exp. If anyone looks at my post, they’ll see that I have good advice. But, the people who Ive advised were noob players, so it was beginner advice, not extravagant tips to get them to the highest plateau. If someone asked about the basic stuff (that you and I already know) Im gonna help him out. NOT insult him, and call him a scrub, like you do them. Youre a premiere member, who shouldnt be downing peps when they discuss issues about MvC2. Even if theyre wrong, you know more than them, so you should shrug it off your shoulders. But instead of doing that, you insult them, and try to make them feel inferior to you, which is not what a exp’d MvC2 gamer should do.
I dont personally care about you, but Im at least trying to help guys out with MvC2. I was once them, so I know how it feels to not know stuff thats essential to being good at the game, so I help them out. Ive read your post, and I cant find one post that actually helps someone who’s asking for help in MvC2. I just see insults and wise sarcastic remarks about them. You need to understand that, people look to you, because they see youre a exp’d MvC2 player. But, if you keep telling them they suck, or theyre scrubs, no one will ask for your advice anymore.

I have a feeling the PS3 may have more issues with rage quitters because I am pretty sure they are not punished. Even though I suck, I have had a fair share of beasting some guys starting character with sent, only for them to quit seconds later.
I saw him say cheap in reference to MvC2 and completely ignored everything he had to say.

I still give bad reviews to RQers, and send them a little message to let them know how much I value their existence. They all say I’m cheap. They’re a pretty unoriginal lot.
One of them though, Hoggystyle something on XBL, accpeted to play me again! He got owned, and rage quit again. Fun times.

Reading his posts, and playing 90% of the people online, it feels like we time-warped back to 1999~2001. Most player rooms online are like walking into a mall arcade nine years ago, but with my knowledge now, as though I’m some sort of fighting games Terminator. I seriously didn’t know anyone called anything cheap in fighters anymore and actually meant it. I don’t think he was trolling, I think he was serious.
The success of XBLA fighters and SF4 (and huge franchises like Halo and Rock Band) are a double-edged sword for true gamers. On the one hand it’s great that the properties we enjoy in this medium get to flourish, and on the other the more people you add to any group the dumber it gets. SRK was already pretty stupid for years BEFORE HDR/SF4/MvC2 XBL completed the transition to Gamefaqs 2.
Man, most gamers (except for the very beginning) were stupid to begin with.
I like the time warp analogy, I guess for the veterans it really is like that. For me? I’m just glad there are other players out there at my level

Ok I think I just might have to retire after this one:rofl: Ok I was getting alittle tired of playing with my usual Rogue Teams so I figure I would try some low tier rank stuff, so I played with Jugg/BB/Hulk so I figured when I played against some one with Cable/Capcom/Sent that I would be lunchmeat but then this happened
I didn’t know that with Glitch Jugg/BB/Hulk with one THC could take out one assist automatically :wow: but not just Capcom, Cable too so after the person I played couldn’t believe it and probably had one of these faces :wtf: then they disconnect on me after.
I own a new team Jugg/BB/Hulk Unstoppable look out team Santrax lol but it was all in good fun

It’s odd cause I’ve never ragequitted on any game, but I checked my rep just for the hell of it and some some 63 some odd percent have put me on ignore, and like 20% marked me as a ragequitter. Lame.
