Not only rage quitting but sht talking, immaturity, etc. is rampant. It’s to be expected and I find most of it funny, such as one Vietnamese guy who kept saying "fck your mother" everytime I did the ROM or live user Drewski’s girl coming on mic to tell me I’m a loser, have no life, don’t get any pussy and just to shut up (even though I wasn’t saying anything:wonder:) 
i play mostly player matches now with a room full of players. Seeing as how i’m better than 80% of the busters online… normally i can win enough to attract a decent player. and then a room full of decent players. Ranked blows sometimes. You want to destroy your opponent… but only in a way that makes them not want to rage quit. So you have to watch the romming and the resets and then you have to play good enough to beat a good player you’ve never come across before. I don’t think there is a patch to make up for these idiots out here that thought they were the best in the world at jill/akuma/spidey. I actually played Viscant and he had a Collosus team that beat me. I thought he was a scrub at first. bottom line… play with good players in player matches.
Dude y’all I played some PSYCHOPATH earlier. Dude with the handle of LegenDose. I heard him chuckle when I picked my team, but I won with 2 characters left and he starts yelling, I mean yelling y’all, nerd this and FUCK YOU that and i play like shit and I suck cause I almost lost to Colossus.
Well I ran into him later and he had me on decent lockdown, but I came back and whupped up on him, and he started yelling again and RQ’ed. I taunted him in a PM and he started saying fuck you ****** this slave that (I’m Mexicano). Dude is like 2 more losses from either suicide or an annyuerism. Any of y’all play him?

I played LegenDose. He sent me a message saying “Fuck you piece of shit”. Verbatim. Didn’t ragequit on me the first time, probably because he didn’t have enough time. Sent hurts too fast.
Ah, well at least it’s almost official that he’s a weirdo now. I wonder if he just went crazy on other people. I ain’t overreacting or nothing either cause I’ve had people send hate mail but this dude just went OFF. Screaming and everything. It was both crazy and funny.
Okay so when a person ragequits on you and it freezes your system is that when they ragequit by shutting off their console or something? That shit happened to me 4 times today. That has never happened to me that many times before. I haven’t been playing ranked lately, but I decided to play it a lot today and when people quit it did that shit. Is that way people quit now so you don’t get the W?
Ragequitting didn’t really bother me because you still got the win, but if this way gets around that then thats gay as fuck.
Yeah, my system has been freezing way more often in the past few weeks when my opponent ragequits. Didn’t happen before.
I wonder what changed… Either the quitter uses a method that reliably craches the other player, or there was a change on Capcom/Backbone’s side. Or something else entirely, who knows.
Mine doesn’t freeze as much as it’ll get stuck on the “winning teams” screen, I have to exit the game and then come back to through the game library, still a hassle though.
I think someone said that it’ll freeze if they shut off the console as opposed to just jumping to the dashboard. I get the freeze way more often than regular disconnects. The freeze folks I just put on avoid.
I just played the same rage quiter two times in a row and both times he rage quit after I beat him, pissed me off cuz if he saw it was me again why waist time and not quit instantly? Shit happens to often, you should be banned after so many rage quits.
I wanted to apologize to two players. I’ll be honest in saying I don’t remember their names. The first was a victim of bad timing. I had literally had 8 people rage quit me. Then this guy legit beat the shit out of me and I ragequit him. he didn’t deserve that I am truly apologetic. I don’t have problems losing a match. As for the latter, the screen was warping everywhere when I dropped. He was in firm control though and messaged me in surprise knowing I was a regular solid player who doesn’t ragequit. If anything I should have dropped as soon as the match started instead of after my Storm was warp raped and I was pinned down by his Sentinel.
Either way, apologies to both.
Lol, I just got rage quitted by SDS V3MON after I assist killed his Sentinel in the first 5 secs of the match (His Row vs my Anak/Storm/Sonson). Hularious.
Is there a way to tell the game you’re unwilling to play certain opponents? Like put them on a ban/ignore list so you won’t join their games?
On X-Box there is, but I still end up getting these folks anyway, just not AS often.
XBLA: If you submit a negative Player Review for them, you won’t automatically fight against them (IIRC) - but if they or you choose Custom, you might fight against each other.
I play with Mega/Iceman/Tron. The problem I’m having is when people pick these higher Tier teams and I beat them they say I’m spamming with MegaMan/Iceman. And if I lose they say I’m a scrub when they have a team like Mag/Cable/Sent, Storm/Sent/Mag or Mag/Storm/Iron. I don’t get some of these people. I’m a scrub because I choose to play with lower tier teams??? I’ve NEVER rage quit. If I lose, then I lose. I like to play everybody. I dont run from anyone.
For all you guys that feel good about beating lower tier teams when you have GOD teams please grow up. It’s just a game and I’m still learning just like everyone else out there. I’m not talking about everyone that plays MVC2. There are some good players out there that’s willing to help. I’m always looking to help someone if they need something. The game would be a lot funnier if people would stop hating and start helping.
People are always gonna be salty when they lose, hell I get the same feeling sometimes, you can’t help it. Those who don’t understand the game mechanics and can’t get past certain offenses are the ones who will cause the most drama.
Let me guess what you do with your team, jump back all day giving two HP shots while calling iceman projectile assist? Or when you rush up to the person to bait an assist or whatnot, call a super? Nothing wrong with that, but to the person who can’t jump out or their assist is bleeding from eating all those HP shots they’re gonna be pissed.
I’ve heard it all too and I’m thinking of recording these matches where they rage quit and shit talk and make a video cause some of the logic is too funny. One person said I sucked cause all I do are infinites (magnus), dash around and call assist (betsy braddock) and that GOOD players are those who can win with different teams, he RQ’ed before I could play Marrow/Doom/Omega:lame: Ignore them and keep playing your game:smile:
