True. Sixth Sense pigeonholed him. But to be fair, all of his bad movies sucked quite a bit on their own merit, even without the pressure of a twist. And his one chance to get out of suspense gave us The Last Airbender. We all remember that cool ass ship scene in the preview that wasn’t in the movie.
The Wachowski Brothers
Basically. But the twist was like the Titanic hitting an iceberg, then having C4 detonated at strategic parts of the ship.
The worst one was The Village, where all of the hype setting it up, told you in no uncertain terms that it was in fact a village circa the proper time period.
All of the reviews and media asserting that took making the proper guess out of the equation.
John Travolta.
Started off strong in the 70’s but fell off for a while thanks to Staying Alive in '83 until Pulp FIction came out and revived his career in '94. But then he made Battlefield Earth, one of the worst movies ever made and promptly fell off again.
So not only has he fallen off massively from his peak, he’s actually done it twice.
Jaws. haha
Cameron Diaz in terms of looks. She was ultra hot in The Mask and Something About Mary then she went all anorexic.
Travolta is still a boss when he wants to be though…
Also Staying Alive is a classic…anything Stallone directs has at least some redeeming value
We do not speak of bald Travolta hear, P.
You know this.
My experience with DBZ:
“Everyone in school loves this! I think I’ll like it, too. Too bad I don’t have cable - alright, Electronics Boutique, let’s get some of these VHS tapes.”
“What the fuck? Goku is a frog? And what’s with all these dancing alien dudes? Fuck this shit, this is awful.”
For games, I’ll say Twisted Metal after TM2.
The “sagas” don’t have official names. Everybody stop quibbling now.

When Clover was shut down would be more accurate.
“Hey, thanks for making some of the best games we’ve ever published, now get the hell out!”
Oh yeah, on the topic of anime… almost every Shonen Jump series should have ended by it’s thirteenth episode.
Naruto was pretty fun to watch at first, and I’d say it climaxed at the end of the ‘bridge’ arc… then the Chunnin Exams begin and the whole thing goes downhill in a huge way. The sheer volume of characters just fucking killed it, with the author even out-and-out stating that some characters were created for no reason other than to fill out the three-person teams.
Bleach was a lot of fun at first and showed a lot of promise (although I think the first OP oversold it - no way the actual series could live up to it), and I liked the “Japanese High-School mixed with Ghostbusters” deal. Really loved the characters and I still love the initial cast. Then they go to the Soul Society and introduce about five thousand characters, all of whom you are supposed to be able to relate to. Ugh.
Kishimoto and Kubo are both examples of why character designers should not be writers. It’s plainly obvious that they write their stories for no reason other than to make more and more characters. I personally think that both of them are excellent character designers… but writers? Fucking awful. Get a god-damn writer, and just make character designs for doujin games on the side or something.
Ong Bak series. First one was enough testosterone, street brawls, martial arts/Muay Thai, and awesome (and I mean awesome in its truest form) fight scenes for me to watch more than once. Ong Bak 2 was drawn out dialogue, a neat battle at the very very end, and… I can’t remember the rest of it. Never saw the third one, which was a sequel to 2, which in turn was a distant prequel to 1. Reviews reassure me that I made the right choice.
There are better examples, but this is the one that immediately popped into my head upon reading the title for some reason.
And wow, no mention of the Marvel vs. series. You surprise me, SRK.
I’ve heard the sequels to Robocop are pretty dingus. Only seen the first one, personally.
Bleach ,Greg Oden,Rick Perry,Lil Bs career shit the economy,
Damn, Greg Oden was waived? Profound sadness.
Uhm, Breaking Bad. I was like, wow the dad from Malcolm in the middle is pulling it off. This show is so realistic and gritty. Then around 6-10 episodes in it became so unrealistic I stopped watching it. Maybe I’ll start again, but it went downhill fast
Highlander; while the first film wasn’t amazing, it was still great fun. Highlander 2 was… Ouch.

I love the first 2 Predator films as well, part 2 is fucking awesome. Predators I thought was just okay. I had a lot of nit-picky problems with it but the biggest problem I had being that it was a pseudo-remake of the first film and almost goes into scene-for-scene stealing more than a few times. It’s a good popcorn flick but it doesn’t do much for me. I’d like to see a Predator 4 without Robert Rodriguez involved and have it explore the Predator’s warrior culture.
I actually preferred Predators to Predator 2, although I did like how they tried to do something new with Predator 2’s setting. I just preferred the dialogue and characters from the third film.
Still, the Predator series is surprisingly solid. One great film, one good film, one decent film (With the last two being interchangeable depending on the fan).
Happy Days…
