what do you guys think of her magnetic shockwave type hyper?
lol I was thinking bout the same team Kunonabi.
She’s not for me, she for my man Shuma, being in a slumber for aeons is like being Locked up yo, 1st thing you want to do when you get out, is get laid.
Any further discussion on this would cause the entire Japanese male population to spontaneously jizz in their pants.
Lmao, but seriously Im thinking about putting her on my team for the AA assist, and her rush down, but if her health is low I may just go with Hulk.
Health shouldn’t be your only deciding factor. I mean, at this point, a decision like that could be tantamount to say, picking Juggernaut over Mags because the latter had low health.
Oh no it may sound like that in my last post but my choice or rather thinking process is deeper then that, Hulk has a good AA assist, he hits hard and builds meter like crazy.(from what I’ve seen) Downside is he’s Kinda slow, and may fall victim to/have trouble with cast members who are good at zoning, etc. Morrigan on the other hand got’s a good Aa assist, she may not hit hard, but she got rush down, and mobility (I love fast women), so if I have to toss her out into the wild, she’ll be Ok. Now this is where it gets sticky, If her health is low (note when I say Low I mean Jean grey low) I don’t see me using her, but if her health is like Chun’s or a bit above it, welcome to the crew dear.
Depends. First question is, who is your point? Or are you trying to build a team of 3 point characters which is harder to do. Also, things lie DHCs and stuff. If Morg’s on point, you’ll likely have to see if you can DHC anything out of a her BnB to mid-air FS.
Well, Ima leave out all my Shuma theory-fighting for now sense there no trailer of him and what not. My man on point will be Dormammu. Naw not trying to build a team of 3 points.
if this was ssf4 she would would have 900-950 health
Sorry bloke, I only know health by characters not numbers mayne. lol
forgive me.
Same health as chun, viper, sakura, rose, makoto, guy, adon, el fuerte… I think anyways off the top of my head
why is it that whenever someone picks morrigan during the events
they either don’t know how to play with her or she gets killed off fast
Her health may be below average, but it’s DEFINITELY above Phoenix levels if that’s what you’re worried about… I would estimate she’s close to Chun-Li in terms of health
She has more health than Chun, she’s like on Dante’s level. And Phoenix has her own health tier.
Yeah, her health is below average it seems. Not as low as say Chun or Zero, but not as high as like Captain America. Her health is along the lines of say Dante and Trish.
Am I the only one that’s gonna try Soul Fist as an assist?
Soul Fist was pretty good at extending combos in TvC, and I also used it to setup Zero’s relaunch corner combo. Hopefully it’ll have as much hitstun as it did in TvC for it to be used this way. Shadow blade seems good, but I won’t really need it since I’ll be using Zero’s Ryuujin assist to anti-air people when Morrigan is on point (considering she doesn’t have reliable AA’s like in TvC).
I guess you could use it as an assist to extend combos, but that’s the only thing I see it being use for really instead of cover since there are much better cover options out there in this game.
Don’t know how you got that she doesn’t have reliable anti-airs in this game considering her moveset is virtually the same from tvc(with more tools). Unless they changed some properties on them. I don’t think Morrigan will have to worry about aerial opponents in this game tbh.
Yeah… Well, I will probably be running Doom with Doom Rocks as an assists to cover both of Zero’s and Morrigan’s rushdown.
In TvC, she had a hard time dealing with good IAD heavy attacks like Ryu’s. Shadow Blade’s weird angle didn’t make it a viable anti-air and 3C (Spear Launcher) had not enough priority to beat heavy attacks. It either traded with the heavy (and since it traded, you couldn’t follow up with an Air Combo, so it was never in your favor) or simply got beat. Only thing you could really do was block and push back. I really do hope they change the properties of her moves for the better, and diagonal Soul Fist might actually help her AA some IAD rushdown.
Her 3C(well, standing E now) seems faster in this game(most of her normals feel faster), but who knows how well it will work against certain air to ground moves from an IAD. AA soul fist should help as well depending on how fast it is. I don’t believe Shadow Blade will good enough in this game, but who knows.
Otherwise you’ll have to go air to air with your opponent with normals like J.E(this move is really good), air throw, AAA, or simply pushblock them away since pushblock is pretty damn strong in this game.
Thanks to the new pushblock, you don’t really have to worry about IAD-cancelled into a high-priority aerial attack spam. What’s much more dangerous is a tri-dash at your feet into a low attack. If you advance guard with incorrect timing you’ll get a move or a dash which leaves you open to easy punishment, and the above technique makes it easy to mis-time the pushblock.
Morrigan’s meter build assist is really great because if you have the life lead, it forces the opponent to come to you as you constantly build way more meter than they do.
