Anybody think the damage from Astral Vision combos might not be worth it in the end? Looks like it might scale badly and that the only thing offsetting that is that you can regain meter while using it.

It all depends on whether she can build meter fast enough to keep pressuring her opponent (especially if combined with the right assist).
And if you are out of meter an exchange might be a good idea since they build hella meter.

Did anyone else notice that repeated combo from astral vision 2A seemed to stop at 24 hits each time? (it reset because that guy wasn’t blocking right) Coincidence or damage scaling?
This might be infinite prevention. Maybe repeating the same normal will decrease hitstun faster than using various normals.
Yeah, it doesn’t look like the punching bag is pushed out of range or the Morrigan player ever stops mashing jab as fast as possible, so hitstun scaling is a likely cause.

Yes it lasts that long. Astral Vision is probably the longest lasting utility hyper that we know of right now.

Right at the end, when DF ends, the combo counter drops from 18 to 13 (Morrigan’s sweep makes it 14) hits . And I have no idea why. At first I thought it just removes the hits done by the clone, but no way it could be that. It should’ve halved the hits then, but it didn’t.
my guess is that its a bug based on how Astral vision interacts with scaling. I alwyas thought it would have to scale less in order to be any good at all, and its possible that it changes to reflect the ‘real’ (engine) value when someone dies right now.
PURE speculation of course.
It looks like the counter jumps up higher than it should have in the first place. Tacks on a bunch of hits at around the 10-hit mark for no clear reason.

Just end your combos with Shining Blade. Drill Kick is solely meant for approach.
