You forget that with her new Soul Fist and her flight mode and air dashes, she can play keepaway as well.

Yes Morrigan is really dangerous because she can triangle jump really low AND retains her darkstalker parabola dash fromn Darkstalers/CvS2/MvC2 but in this game you almost get a full range of motion if you hold up or down during your dash. when in X-factor she becomes about as fast as Chun-li. maybe even faster
dashing then low arial attack hits overhead, right?
I’m loving that she can combo with Finishing shower but i might use her Astral vision. It seems like a better choice if you can confuse her opponents.

You can see it hits @ 1:30 (Look at Trish’s life), but it seems like it doesn’t give you enough time to combo into something afterwards.
I think dashing in with B will be a better option if it’s the same kick as her TvC counterpart.
As J-Money stated, anytime you’re either dashing or IADs, the best overhead seems to be j.Ex. into one of her BnBs.

Just noticed that her Finishing Shower’s startup frames are invincible at [media=youtube]nqyhJ-1xgqs"[/media] This seems really sweet as it means that Finishing Shower might be a super safe SHC for Morrigan and teammates.
And I wonder if you’ll be able to counter projectile supers with it full screen away. For example, Ryu tries to chip you away with a full screen Shinkuu Hado, and you time Finishing Shower so that it goes through you and tag him with the missiles.

What’s her fastest low poke option? Basically wondering if 5A still hits low like it did in TvC UAS.
I’m liking everything I see so far. She was by far my best character in TvC and it seems like they’ve already patched up the one major problem she had in that game (questionable lv1 supers). Dark force looks every bit as cheesy as it was in VS.

Are you sure it was invincibility and not the missiles cancelling out Doom’s beam? You can see the hit effect for the beam as it reaches her, at which point a few missiles are overlapping or just in front of Morrigan. I’m almost sure I’ve seen Morrigan hit out of her super after the super flash, but I can’t remember where I saw that happen.
You could write a book on how unbelievably bad Morrigan was in TvC:UAS (and this is coming from a guy who, for the most part, thinks she has SOME potential in that game). She’s almost completely unusable…
She was mid tier in that game (lower than in CGoH since they too out her infinite), still better than MvC2 Morg. That said, she did not have the same degree of freedom of movement in that game as she does here (or in MvC2).
Also, she’s seemingly better here because of the fact that she can now reliably combo into her 3 damage dealing hypers, plus her normals are safer and faster (since normals are safer in general in this game) unlike in MvC2 where she was unsafe as fuck. Then there’s the more obvious changes, better Soul Fist (3 directions) and flight mode.
How is she considered mid, when she should be low?:wtf:
