Somebody please help me with this blanka thing…i couldnt beat any blankas online yet they are like impossible to get close to… what should i do?

Walk and block or if the blanka is sitting and crouching and doesnt seem to meove you could try to catch him offguard by mixing in some dashing to bait a blanka roll or slide. If he Blanka Balls to keep you out you can punish easily with Spiral Arrow/Super/Ultra. Also, if you walk towards blanka watch out for his slide it seems punishable may be not if its spaced. Also, I always watch out for blankas Lp Blanka roll into grab if your at the Lk SA distance because the recovery is good on whiff. Blanka cant really do much when your close if you time everything right. If the Blanka keeps running away chase him into a corner be patient. Also, watch out for random overhead rolls if its ex he may use it to cross you up so just watch and block according to which side of you it hits.Also, word of advice never jump in on Blanka he has so many ways to shut you down if charged and dont get predictable with Cannon Strikes up close or he might mash out electricity which stops pretty much anything from the air. If he mashes electricity too much bait and punish with spaced normals/Super/Ultra. Word of advice block low if he random Ultra 1’s. OK THATS ALL I KNOW hope it helps Im not the best but this is all I need to do to beat Blanka. I’m no where near the best so yeah take what you need.

Even if you’re hit by his horizontal ball you can do Ultra 1.
if you predict it crouching light punch should stop it too.
Another option is to FADC it. Just make sure that if you do choose to do this, his overhead roll didn’t come out as a reversal or it will armor break you.
If he’s poking you with a c.fierce and you block it while having a super, you can spin drive smasher him afterwards.
If blanka is jumping all over you, AIR THROW HIM. I like doing this while jumping backwards.
Most blankas will focus attack cancel a blocked blanka ball. If he does this, you can do a spin drive smasher after the blocked ball.
If he’s spamming electricity and is in range of your c.mk, you can punish him, but don’t get baited to do a spiral arrow if he stops and blocks.
There was a video that showed various ways you can avoid being punished by his first ultra. Cammy is probably one of the few characters (with the right timing) who can fadc forward under his ultra. I have to test it again because I know this works if he doesn’t hold the charge once Cammy is behind him. Probably wind up pissing off a lot of blanka players if you can pull that off every time. (Obviously won’t work if blanka’s cornered.)
Also, if you punish blanka balls with a spiral arrow, try to make it a reversal. You should react pretty fast using U1. If you use a super, you might want to delay it a bit so it doesn’t hit him before he lands (or maybe you can use lk or mk? I tend to use hk.)
I think Cammy has a really good advantage over Blanka because there’s usually so much risk for blanka to use special moves against Cammy. It’s probably the only charge character match I feel like I have the upper hand in though I’ll admit blanka can be tricky, especially in the mid-range (where you should either be predicting he’ll dash around you to blanka ball/shock you, slide, or jab blanka ball->throw/electricity in your face).
And I agree. Jumping at blanka 95% of the time is a bad idea. Vertical blanka balls, electricity, super combo, ultra combos, slide (hate that)… s.hk (and s.fp?). The only time you’d really want to jump is when you can predict he’ll jump with you and you can punish accordingly.
Blanka is a wild match-up, even for cammy who can punish everything he does.
Don’t stuff blanka balls with shorts or jabs, but rather, punish with MK spiral arrow, or super/ultra if you have it. If the blanka ball would chip kill you, then yeah, attempt to stuff it.
Focus Attacks beat his overhead roll, and if you time the release correctly (as long as its not a reversal), it will always land a 2-3 Lv FA.
On light blank ball, dont try to tech at all, because if you guess wrong and he uses electricity, you get punished. Instead, jump back or neutral if you see the low version. It lessens his options on what he can do to you as opposed to standing there trying to anticipate his throw.
Pay attention to his double dashes, his blanka ball can cross up on some wakeups, so be careful or that also.
Blanka’s U1 can be punished totally with Cammy u1 or u2, but u1 can only fully connect after blanka has landed and is rolling towards you (neutral roll in place will trade with GDS)
Blanka’s U1 is good chip damage so be careful of that, and if you like, its a FREE air throw afterwards if you hold UF.
Amazon River slide is totally punishable with standard cr mk > HK SA, but beware, it has many active frames to hit you.
Also, if a Blanka tries to u1 you on wakeup, don’t try to guess that shit, but rather, ex SBF the fuck outta there and avoid the guessing game of where to block.
Its arguably Blanka’s hardest match.

I use Blanka as my main. When i saw the title to this thread i was flabbergasted.
Oddly enough, Blanka is one of my hardest matchups, mostly because of his shenanigans and his speed. Also, Dive Kicks aren’t entirely the best thing to do to Blanka, cuz Electricity always beats all of Cammy’s Air Options (possibly trades with EX Cannon Strike). For me personally, Pressuring Blanka isn’t my strong suit, but rather, playing footsies, punishing whiffs/blanka/upright balls, and holding the life lead.
Its actually really hard for me personally to comeback on Blanka once he has the lifelead, because theres no real safe way to get in. Or is there? (Hint: tell me <_<)

Haha, so true. The only reason I clicked on this thread was to check if there was some anti-Cammy technology that I didn’t know about.
Actually since Cannon Strike hits downward, it’s good against electricity as long as you aim it for his front edge and not on top of him. But his other anti-airs are more dangerous, so this mostly applies to TKCS on his wakeup. You can spam LK TKCS and nearly never get hit by electricity, it’s the Blankas that do other reversals that are more dangerous.
Most of the time vs. Blanka = trying to get one knockdown and from there, pressuring him into the corner until he dies or manages to get out.
Try it out in training mode, electricity loses to a lot of meaty attacks like TKCS and s.MP. General rules:
-blocking beats non-electricity reversals, bad against electricity (get pushed out with blanka advantage)
-meaty TKCS loses to EX upball (knockdown allows him to escape), beats electricity, beats U1 (avoids the “invisible stunning hit” since you’re airborne, after which you can spike, or just block/backdash and punish)
-meaty spiral arrow is the same as TKCS (counts as airborne) for example, forward throw -> meaty MK arrow is safe against U1
-meaty ground normal (ex. s.MP, cr.LP) loses to U1, beats electricity, better against EX upball (you get hit, but can usually punish it on hit particularly if he’s near the corner.)
Lol when playing in endless someone said it sounded like " Spider love " which I agree sort of ill have to listen out for spiral bubble. Also, in CVSnk 2 it sounded like “Spiral Allo” actually after spiral it just sounded like noise. They need to change it back to cannon drill you cant mess that up. Blanka is much more about punishing and being quick on your reactions than it is about doing her pressure game. You definitely have to change your playstyle up from most other matches. Block and punish, bait and punish.
This. I played against Hiro’s blanka this morning. It was fun as we had quite a few close matches. He took me out in more matches than I took him out, but he said he appreciates that I’m not always trying to rush him down with Cannon Strikes. It just doesn’t work out that way as it can easily turn the match into Blanka’s favor.
