I just said I agreed with what Dasirk said because imo I just think people are making alittle to big of a deal out of this. No more no less. Yes Sanford was a good Marvel player but the bottomline is its still just a video game and in the US doesnt really matter all that much. Personally its better for him to play it less if his life isnt in order, there are things more important then marvel.

if sanford kelly and justin wong truly retire, and never return to mvc2.
would they become legends years from now, such as the mystery of thomas osaki and tomo ohira, (who truly was the best sf player back in the day? there is still controversy when people talk about it) and will the number 1 spot be clouded in mystery? imo, sanford is number 1 right now. he’s smart by retiring now on top, duc and valle came back and now are not number 1. i must tell my children these stories, so marvel will not die.
p.s. imo, justin is goku, but sanford is not vegita, he’s more like cell or majin buu, cuz he xcopies stuff and combines it into himself to form the ultimate power. sanford is like a combination of all marvel players powers, row,soo, david,etc.

I just started with Marvel(believe it or not, all the deadness debating sparked my interest), but even I know who JWong is. Gratz to Mr.Sanford on beating him at his game.
I wasn’t being negative, I was merely stating a fact. This isn’t someone who saved the world here, this is a man who sought to be the best at a video game, in exclusion of pretty much all else. Should it matter? Sure… but keep some perspective here. This is a game, a game people play for fun. Winning is nice, but when it becomes the focus of your life, a time for reassessing what’s important is in order.
That’s all I had to say, and pretty much all I ever had to say since I came to SRK.

Well Sanford should beat Justin, I mean, Justin did teach him how to play.
If anything, this just goes to show how amazing Justin is, to train someone that would go on to defeat him.
But retiring right now is dumb IMO, because the top two MvC2 players at EVO will walk away with over a thousand bucks.
I really hate this so what you won in a video game speak that is on here. I hate that kind of attitude, beacause when you think like that it really feels to me… then why the hell even post on here? If video games are just stupid little entertainment then why even waste you time on this forum, how about doing something constructive that you don’t see as “just a game”. The obvious reason is that people enjoy it, and it becomes more than just fun and a passion. I think that having a passion and enjoying yourself doing something ,(especially something not only aesthetically appealing but mentally challenging as gaming), is just as important as having some big expensive job and all that bullshit. Who wants to live some life dug deep into an ant hill just writing off the funny coloration of the leaves from time to time. Hope you all understand what im saying.
