ā¦and out of all the people that posted something hating santhrax decision your the only one sensible enough to understand the true purpose behind why he wants to retire for now. He needs time to sort somethings. Many people sit here and bash Santhrax about his personal life saying Marvel has taken his life over. Putting him in the Trinity of marvel of people whoās lives have been consummed by Marvel. As for his accomplishments in the Gameā¦He has done everything. Marvel has transcended beyond the game, the game is Justin Wong. While all of you have been playing MVC2, he has been playing the god of the game. He has beating god 3 times. Once in a local tournament which was written off by the community, and twice in the same tournament at the East Coast Major. Its not the equivalent of the Marvel God Justin 4 time champion but its better than all the marvel players in the world combined!
As a Teacher, Justin has even gone beyond his godhood (metaphor people, donāt take the word serious) he has proven with out a doubt that he is a master. His student has conviencingly showed him that he is capable of defeating the master. Marvelous is done himself. Not to say that the game has died, but to say that there is nothing more that he himself can do. Marvel can now only be saved by you guys āTHE PLAYERSā! Marvelous and Santhrax have set, reset, and re-resetted, the bar of excellence in that game. Step your game up and give them a breather.
As for Santhrax permenant retirement, there is no definant time line to it. However he needs time away with his accomplishment to understand not to become attached to it. He needs to learn to be humble, and walk away even at his height of accomplishment. Something sadly that Jwong wasnāt wise enough to doā¦and that may be his fault in decision but the scenes fault in pushing him to his limit. I told him to step down while he is that far, no man is truly a god, he will fall, and the higher you goā¦the longer the fall. Santhrax is satisfied with his height, and you all should respect that.
In the future, Marvel will get his shot back at Santhrax, but it will not be under this communities influence. I will need to speak to them both about it and come to a conclusion that they can both agree too and keep them both level headed about it. So please just lean up a bit give the man room to breathe. Stop putting words in Jwongās ear about getting him back at EVO. And marvelousā¦do not let this get to you. MVC2 is not your life. Temperment young god. Remember the story about Lu bu, do not look at this as death, it is rebirth. Let time take it course and you will rise out from that and become something greater than what you are. do you have disabilities to comprehend written facts? no one is hating on sanford. no one has said anything negative about his win or about him in general. when I beat Wong in the team tournament and EC people were playing it off as a fluke or blaming msp for countering team row now that was hate. this is not hate. he came off as if the game has nothing more to offer him and hes done everything there is to do as he put it. people are disagreeing with it. to assume it as hate and turn it into something its not is dumb. dont turn sanford into the victim. sympathy should be natural not forced. the fact is, sanford has never been to EVO. wong is the only one who comes close to having done everything you can possibly do in the game. I dont know how much marvel you guys play but you guys must evolve your lives around it if one needs to āretireā from the game to be productive in life. I play hoops once a week you dont see me āretiringā and never playing ball to continue with my school and work not to mention family and gf. As for Korean Jordan. No he is not retiring from Marvel to lead a productive life. He is just temporarily stepping out of the spot light for a bit to gather himself. Not everyone can be compared to others. Maybe Santhrax needs time to structure himselfā¦maybe not. However that is for none of us to say. As for casual play, that is all a matter of opinion. Santhrax rolling through china town and he stops by to say hi to his friends and then he plays a couple of causual games is what it is. Now some people may not play a few, and may play a few. Casual is casual there is no designated time frame. I was not making this out to be bad, my statement was in regards to those who said something bad about Santhrax and his decision to retire.
