I’m suddenly playing this strategy (new team trying tonight, but so far LOVE it) that has me playing a nearly pure runaway Storm. Obv I dont mind sneaking in an attack, but it’ not initially the idea. Team is Hawkeye Storm Morrigan (basic idea is Harmonize a lot so I can always threaten Gimlet-Hail and Hail-Gimlet. So anyway, any general pointers or things to keep in mind while running with Storm? Andy OCR, during vanilla, taught me that L whirlwinds are very good and safe, that lightning attacks are safe, and my buddy who suggested the team said to use a lot of L lightning spheres in general. Any other cool pointers you can think of to just run and run and run till its time to Hail?
Despite the above, it’s of ocurse going to happen that I hit a guy and get a combo. Oops, sorry! lol Anyhow, between ground stuff into basic air series or basic ground series into air stuff, which seems to be our option, I think my running around a lot will necessitate my going for the air stuff and just hoping to get a launch at all, let alone fancy JC shit. So what is a good easy air sequence? Ease over dmg def, Im low execution, but not counting on TODs for my kills. In vanilla if I remmeber the right it was, like, launch, sj H xx fly, LMH dash H dash H dash H dash HS? Something like that? (or is it H xx dash LMH xx fly?) Anyway, anyone have a simple “air stuff” BNB that’s hard to screw up but does better dmg than sj MHS? lol I’ll even try a hard one if it’s strategically important. As long as it’s easy to not drop after the fly cancel, I’ll prob be able to do whatver.

ok well there are two combos I’ve been working on. When you have someone in the corner you can try this (tried on spidy and sent) this positioning is a bit strict
S. SJ H air dash down H Normal Jump H Air dash H then one rep of the ground jump loop (so sj.float H c.H) S sj.H sj.S hail
Another one and this takes timing in corner s.S sj.H L+lighting sphere, sj.H L+Lighting Sphere, sj.H L+Lighting Sphere (the 3rd is what is hard because you just need to be fast I don’t get it often) you can also after the 2nd just do sj.H dash S hail

Nice. I imagine myself being able to do the 2nd one, but the first I’m not so sure lol Any idea how JJJ’s TAC combo works? At first seems simple, like, H xx sphrere H sphere, then next thing you know there are fly’s, aduf’s, and I cant figure it out, at least not while I’m at work.
I’d started watching him for his Morri, and admittedly, in Ultimate, Storm was the part of his team I wasn’t interested in. But now I’m playin a team with Storm and Morri on it and suddenly he’s even more of a hero to me
For the cr. L,M,H,S sj. M,M,H,S land hailstorm whats the timing on the H to S? I always miss the S because She falls too fast after the H. The only way I get it is if I hold up but that makes it a exchange instead of the regular knock down
Edit: Figured it out. I didn’t know how fast you press the M’s changes how high Storm goes. You almost have to mash it to make Her continue up to be high enough to hit the S
I like doing cr:m:cr:h: j. :s: :s: sj. :s: land Hail Storm better
Does more damage and doesn’t whiff as much as :h::s:
Does Storm have any other OTG options besides Hail Storm and Elemental Rage?
i m making a 4 fun team with Spider man/Storm/anything, and i need some confirmations…
my current and only combo with storm is air :s:, cr L, cr:m:, cr :h:, J.:h:, land s., cr :h:, J:h: air dash :h:, land s. , :s:, SJ :h: air dash :s: + ice storm — almost 600k damage
-storm REALLY damage potential is almost 600k damage ? these combos with 3 lighting atacks in the begining, i really wont even try
there is any reliable combo that can make at least 1 bar ?
-there is any reliable way to land a double typhoon in the end of a combo ?
after an air throw, the best thing is DT + ice storm or DT + air H + 3 lighting attack + lighting storm or there is anyway to do a combo without an OTG assist ?
can somebody give me some tip to how perform the air loop after a TAC ? with magneto is SO easy, because he can use l m h - air dash - m h - air dash - m h and bla bla bla, but with storm is a complete other story, theres any easier loop besides air dash H 4x ?
just my thoughts, i really think storm is beautiful, and fun to play, but i really dont understand why capcom gave to her so low health, no lvl 3 hyper and no hyper with invicible frames, so low damage potential , no otg special, no self relaunch combo. writing all this makes me wonder why we all still plays with her, lol
i know, DAT hyper full screen otg is really beautiful .
Her [dash :h:]x4 loop is already one of her easiest combos, I don’t really know what to tell you other than just keep practicing it. It really isn’t that hard, you probably just haven’t gotten used to the rhythm of it yet.
i learnt it =D i just found that it is WAY more easier to mash foward foward H foward foward H than pressing the dash button, just need to find a way more reliable way, she must be a little above the char, or else, the air S wiff
If they pop up too high for the :s: at the end, you were doing the :h:s too fast. If you take your time a little more, they’ll fall down enough in-between hits to connect whatever you want at the end.
Same thing happens if you do it mid-screen: if you do it too fast, you’ll fly under them before getting to the 4th :h:
