Yeah, I would assume that it’s less damage taken. I’m very curious as to how much it is actually.
The other question I have is about how these chi power ups may change, for example, does the power one get it’s own little boost in x-factor, defense as well/does it reduce or negate chip damage? Does the meter gain one add even more when doing a TAC? THESE ARE THE QUESTIONS THAT PLAGUE ME
I was envisioning that the defense boost worked like Q’s from 3rd Strike. While he took less damage with each boost, it was still considered as having more stamina.
If the defense buff gave him super armor on certain moves than could help solve a few of his problems. II’m glad someone decided to do the team thread so because I don’t even know how to do the little attack button things yet lol.
But yeah 90% of the time Danny’s gonna be on point but as the game develops and people crack him open more and learn more traps I can see IF being an anchor like Wesker has become for some teams as well.
So many people still sleeping on IF like they learned nothing from She-Hulk and Spencer, it’s not always the flashy one that are dangerous.
I’ve been thinking about optimum Iron fist teams and I may have to change my sig to Ironfist/ Vergil/Dr.Doom.
Vergil Rapid slash controls the horizontal space and hits multiple times to lock the opponents in place for more pressure. Doom missiles does the same thing but for the vertical space and keep opponents from mounting all their offense from the skies.
All Iron Fist needs is time to get in and wreck house and these two assists will give him plenty of time to wave dash in because he only needs to do it twice and his is fast. Not to mention if Iron fist dies (which these assist will make it harder to do) Vergil and Dr.Doom will be no slouches in Ultimate and both make great anchors.
It also helps I been playing Doom the whole time MVC3 has been out so I’ll really be able to make this team work because I already know how to space, zone, and move around as Doom. This is all theory tho.
Iron fist and Strider should really compliment each other very well. Vajira assist will help IF with jumpers and runners and Dragon Fang can get people out of striders face and set them up for the kill.
The little time I had with him was used trying to understand how to use his rekkas effectively. He does good damage and has good ground mobility.
His air game is really awful, he will have to keep the fight on the ground to have any chance at doing serious damage. Will probably be very easy to lame him out just by superjumping back all the time.
He powers up really fast and it will be easy for him to power up mid-combos as well as in full screen situations when he is pushed back.
-** Will have a lot of problems to get in on zoning characters. He basically has no option except wave-dash.**
