You have to be able to hit him out of that skate thing because Capcom wouldn’t give him such good zoning tools if he could rush you down mindlessly without worry of getting hit. I for sure think he can get hit out of that or else it’s be almost broke.
I don’t think Rocket skate will be much for Ironfist to worry about, RR has to do two back to back to get in position around the opponent to attack in the vids. It’s plenty of time to hit him if he’s not covered by assists.
Crossunder trick on snap-in/character kill with s.H xx (Whiff a Rekka) + an assist? Anyone tried it yet? I realize it’s probably not his best option, since he can’t get a launcher afterward, he still can theoretically get 3 rekka chains into super, depending on hitstun scaling of rekkas. Maybe you could throw a Chi power-up in there somewhere, but I dunno since the One-inch-punch doesn’t work on characters in float, or at least I’m guessing it doesn’t, and that’s his best option for getting one. That’s a possible Phoenix-kill on snap-in or a good 600k at least on character switch on for a meter.
For even better damage, there’s that theorized Fists of Fury->Dragon Corridor in the corner for even better damage. Even if you can’t, there’s still DHCing.
Connects Fists of Fury into another Fists of Fury, at least. Seems like holding onto your wall bounce in your combo might be useful if its extra damage… Unless Fists of Fury causes some special wall bounce… but it probably doesn’t.
Just giving this thread a shot in the arm and thought this vid was cool because it proves that my idea of using Vergil’s rapid slash assist extend combos or can start one if they are careful. Not the best IF play but it also shows his normals kind of push him forward it looks like and makes him hard to get off.
He can get easy TOD combo on low health characters like Vergil I guess.
Special meter building powers, damage powers, longer reaching better normals, better assist, harder to get off once pressure is applied, no drawbacks or limits to any DHC’s like Nova’s red life crap, more unique. Off the top of my head.
Nova does have some important advantages over IronFist too tho.
Any other rekka characters in Marvel? Didn’t think I knew of any plus he only has a ground only launcher, his rekka’s end in different ways for mix-ups, IF seems unique because no other character play like him.
I’ve been trying not to insult Nova but he seems like a mash up of other more known characters. Like Capcom thought nobody would notice if they just took moves from others and gave Nova no new features but it’s completely obvious!
When I look at what Capcom was able to do with PW and Frank West hell even Hawkeye then look at Nova it’s like…you guys didn’t try to hard because he could have been more. I should be wow’d by Nova but I wasn’t.
All of the ‘new’ Marvel characters look so much more interesting than the Capcom characters. If anything I play Spencer and Wesker not on the same team but they are the only capcom Chacters that I dabble with.I play Skrull Captain America, X-23, Dormammu, Thor, and Spidey They are so much more fun.
Iron Fist will be a must on my team only because I like Rekka style characters. And the fact that he can do different ones in his combos really entice me. It looks like his Damage is great once he get’s in, It’s lights out. My only concern is that he will have a tough getting in on zoning characters but I guess with how hard he hits, it balances out.
RR, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye, Nova, Dr Stange might be in the pool of characters I will be looking forward to as well.
As far as Nova. He may be generic and have Hypers similar to other characters like Skrull, Ryu (any firball type characters) and MODOK, but he looks he hits hard unlike others with similar Hypers. He is one I’m definitely looking forward to as well.
