His launcher hits low, as in you have to duck block it.

It did not LOOK safe on block. He stood there for a bit after doing it from the one match I saw on last night’s stream. I’m still not worried though, he still has a crumple, wall bounce and hard knock down to work with in combos.
it looks safer than Dr. Stranges, which is nice, and you can probably occasionally play some evil tricks with the thing.
It’ll probably be week one tricks tho’, people get used to gimmicks like that.
It’s not like his lack of a decent launcher really worries me. I mean, with all his other options, it’s not like its a major loss (especially since he has a crumple move).
Do you have to block low on his launcer? If so his launcher could be used with hi low mixups.
Yeah, his launcher hits low, but the recovery and hitbox is small, so it really isn’t worth the risk especially since he has high/low rekkas.
I play skrull so I don’t really care that IF has a hard time getting in or a non existent air game. I’m probably going to run IF/firebrand/strange.

I don’t get all the people wanting to play three new characters on one team. What assists could help IF from Firebrand? He needs a lockdown assist, like Hidden Missiles or Jam Session. I think that Bolts of Balthakk would work pretty well, as they stay active for a good while.
That “launcher only hitting the ground” property is really scaring me :eek:
I’m telling you. Spencer grapple assist. It’ll ground them after you wallbounce or juggle or something.
I really don’t want to have to play spencer though. He looks like an angry fuck who is also ugly as hell. I like nothing about him except when he shouts bionic arm.
There may be a new assist that grounds. Frank West mayhaps?
I’m not sure that a grounding assist is THAT important anyways, yes it gives him another crumple and another launcher, but he seems to have plenty of combo extension options without either.
I know, I’m just saying it’s the most efficient way to launch later in a combo.
I still think that Hidden Missiles will be the best. It lets him approach, locks down, combo breaker, and controls the air.
Why are people so worried about the launcher not hitting grounded, he has tons of way to continue combos without having to launch them at all.
He probably does more damage if he doesn’t launch.
Do both of his wallbounces cause soft knockdown?
he has a special that causes hard knockdown too, AFAIK.
