Sure, you should always combo into launcher, the problem is that the opponent must be 100% on the ground for it to work, not even sweep into launcher will combo because the sweep takes them off the ground.
My idea of using Wesker for a relaunch is over, and I honestly can’t see they working well together, unless I use Wesker as point and IF as second, so I’ll try that because I really love both characters.
There is so far, there is nobody saying that Iron Fist will have problems.
Then don’t launch after. He has a jump cancelable rekka - box combo it up Viper style.
I’m just throwing out ideas. I’m nowhere near ready to even start worrying. Every character is different. If any of us approach Fist like just another character to throw in our team and expect the same BS to work, he will look low tier.
Whose to say we even want to air combo with him?

Too bad we won’t get that crumple for the power up that much. Wish he could Dragon Fang in the air, it would help.
I’ll play him no matter what so whatever, but his launcher does suck. I really really hope Wesker and Iron Fist can work together, if I have to drop Wesker so be it, but I wish I don’t.

Seems to me like IF has 3 good non-grounded choices out of rekkas
qcf+S for wallbounce (shoulder in general seems a better choice than kick, unless they’re knocked too far away)
qcf+H for hard knockdown (to stomp)
qcb+H jump cancel for mini launcher combo
Given that you can mix and match, and probably do them all in one combo, those are pretty good options… without using normal launchers at all. The problem is getting there
umm, I don’t think you’re saying what you’re trying to say, although I can’t for the life of me figure out what you’re trying to say.
Use Spencer assist to ground them. Combofiend shows that it’s good for She Hulk’s lariat, and it also helps Chris’s grenade launcher and haggar’s Rapid Fire Fist.
Heh, it never remotely occurred to me that would work that way. Does anything else do that, or just the one?
…I still hope (against hope) that ‘special properties’ for his launcher means more than just terrible.
As far as I know, Spencer-B is the only one that grounds a juggled enemy. It’s really, really good for certain characters, particularly the aforementioned Chris.
It also prevents characters from flipping out of Haggar’s Rapid Fire Fist, and lets you easily reset into command grabs or crumple an enemy.
It’s a fantastic assist, but it’s not that good outside of combos, so people dismiss it.
I’m sorry, I was trying to say that nobody had too much trouble using Iron Fist. Anyway…

iron fists strengths heavily outweigh his weaknesses, so i don’t know what ppl are fretting over. and his launcher sucks probably because aircombos aren’t his primary combos for dealing damage (jc’able loops into more damaging hard knockdowns than aircombos + enhanced properties on moves from powerups + combo dependent altered properties on moves + assists ). he’s gonna make ppl cringe. you will NOT like getting hit by him. if he catches two of your characters using Fist of Fury’s invincibility, both of those characters are history.
Is Fists of Fury armored or invincible?
That wavedash is why I was saying that Psi blaster would help get him in. All he needs is for the opponent to stop doing something for half a second and he’s in there.
Psi blaster has such a short duration though, I was thinking he’d be another akuma best friend even without knockdown on tatsus
What we’ve been hearing around is armored, who knows tho’… people get so many things wrong
yeah i read armored somewhere in here, but i’m going by the reveal trailer. his FoF didn’t take any hits from dantes reverb shock, so i’m assuming invincibility.
Psi Blaster probably has enough startup to let you get across the screen and potentially punish stupid things they do.
I think it’d be better than Balloon bomb, as it goes fullscreen.
We really can’t know yet, all we can do is guess.

What about Iron Fist, Strider and Doom? Anyone think that may be a good Stridoom in this game? I was thinking about making it my white themed Iron Fist team.
Hidden Missiles seems like it’ll be good just to give you a free way in as you lock them down and mix them up.
All of dooms assists seem good for IF, (altho maybe that isn’t surprising). Crescent heel would imo be good for strider, and IF looks to be a pretty damn good battery. Seems like a good team in theory anyways.
