Hey at around 9:01 he got a CH st.Mk to cr.Lk didn’t even know you could link them 2
thats kiyomatsu…same A3 guy player…
I noticed you missed a few big punish opportunities. I recommend cr.mp or cl.hk, ff chain against characters with good reversals as this will afford you better follow-ups than TC xx Run slide or Hoz(unless your trying to push towards corner, in which case your probably better off going for ff chain, EX Hoz).
You landed a few cr.mk’s. You know you can walk back a step then cross-up? It’s also a good position for uncrouchable lp or EX.bushin flip.
Looks like you could work on your frame traps and wake-up game as well. Use meaty cr.lk and cr.lp more on their wake-up to set up tick throws and frame traps.
Anyway, I can talk. I need to work on a bunch of this too.
Yeah atm im currently working on my wakegame/frame traps. for most punishes i never really try to use cl.hk into bushin chain combo because everytime I try it usually whiffs like i tried to use it as a combo after a focus attack against that akuma i fought and it whiffed. using cr.mp doesnt sound like a bad idea what can i follow cr.mp up with?
You can do cr.MP>cr.lp into MK bushin kick (I personally don’t use this cos I lack confidence in my execution and that BSK is way punishable)
Or Cr.MP into standing MP>HP target combo, which also has strict timing, more so.
Basically if u can connect cr.lp or st.mp after it, you’re good to go.
^ Indeed, cr.mp, bushin chain = 2 frame link and cr.mp, mp>hp = 1 frame link.
There’s a list in one of these threads that outlines who cl.hk, bushin chain works on following a focus crumple iirc.
cr.mp, TC xx…(spacing dependant as hp will whiff if too far away)
cr.mp, mp xx…
cr.mp, bushin chain(opponent must be standing)
Best options imo.
On another note, in the Kiyomatsu vid it looks like he does an uncrouchable bushin flip set up - EX tatsu, forward dash, hp.bushin flip. Never thought of that one, wonder it it works same off the other tatsu’s?
You asked what can be used after cr. MP? Do cr. MP -> cr. LP -> st. MP XX runslide. Its a good frametrap. I suck so not sure what you meant saying what to do after cr. MP?
ok im liking the cr. MP -> cr. LP -> st. MP XX runslide Im in the middle of breaking the habit of only using lp honzato in my combo’s so im going to practice this link so i can throw it into my game. thanks for the reply guys.
This is the vid I watched when I first saw this! I thought it looked sweet! LOL

^ Word, great frame trap and gauranteed against crouchers. I’ll be adding back to my repertoire.
This is probably something real old but I been messing with cr.lp, CH cr.hp(frame trap), slight walk forward bushin chain. So cool to pull off and not too tuff given you net atleast 11 frame advantage on CH cr.hp. It can be done non CH also but seems very strict and possibly character specific.
^ LOL were they teasing each other in that last round with overheads?
Goes to show how good the instant air grab can be if you got the reactions for it. Crazy stuff there.
has anyone else seen this video or was aware of this?
Shoryuken - Guy unblockable J.MK
edit: can some one also test this on more characters? i’m curious to see who else this works on.
Yeah, I enjoy doing a crossover MK to C. MK (love that quick double sweep), maybe follow up with an EX Hozanto. I don’t really use his HK unless I’m doing his running version or the C. Down Forward HK. His regular HK just feels really slow and cumbersome to me for some reason, probably because most of his other stuff seems much faster.
Also connecting a jump-in HK seems seems difficult for me for other reasons unknown, maybe it is angle specific. Maybe I just suck, who knows.
J.HK is weird coz its active for just 3f , unlike other good jumpins that are active for almost double of that… so you need to do it as late as possible…
Thanks for the tip, I’ll keep it in mind! : D
