APO vs Papatiwawa(half way through). This match gets extremely tense in the final round!

damn his backdash is serious…

Good videos guys.

So i haven’t been playing due to my SFGT project but I went to my local lan center last night and did something interesting:

^^^ saw that shit on the stream…good shit son!!
ur Guy is getting alot more solid everytime i watch the OS stream…nice!

i need to come thru one day and see how u do in a mirror :stuck_out_tongue:

edit: and LMAO @ flash’s face

yo D’Nyce, if youre up to it I’d like to play you again on live. Hit me up when you see me on. My GT is:

This Is K1

lets run some games. I can give you pretty good claw practice too if you would like.

flash had that " i’m salty so i’m gonna act like it wasn’t that big of a deal" look

papatiwawa vs fujino(akuma)

he punishes akuma teleporting out of the corner really nicely about 40 seconds in.

and another one against gameinn(cammy)… something i found interesting… even with a huge life lead… he ran away against cammy. i mean cammy is scary as hell when she’s in your face but i still don’t know why you would run with a lifelead like that. also… in case any one wondering… in the cammy matchup… crouch tech with cr. strong is your best friend. if she’s trying to bait your cr. tech shorts with divekicks… doing it with cr. strong will help a TON.

I was noticing in that papatiwawa vs fujino vid that he does j.hk then c.mp then bushin chain after he got the dizzy. Anyone know what the difference in damage between that and if he did s.hk after the j.hk is?

[SSF4] Endless Match 2010-08-17, GODS2.5???(^o^)? tsukimiya on USTREAM. Xbox

Kiryu getting owned by a solid Chun. Moreso than when he was getting owned by that Ryu player a while back. At least then they traded rounds.

Confirms my belief that this is a very tough match-up despite iPlaywinner’s new tier list putting this at 5-5. She zones the hell out of Guy and her solid anti-airs force you to play her ground game which is a nightmare. Probably one of those match-ups where Guy has to be very patient and try to defend the life lead.

HELL YES. I saw this yesterday, and was just waiting for Kiryu to exploit some type of hole, or find some type of weakness, or SOMETHING. I laughed at that damn tier list saying that Chun v Guy is 5 - 5. What the balls do they know that I don’t???

those matches against chun looked terrible. that was one aggressive chun with some serious execution. i do wish though that kiryu would’ve stopped letting her jump in so easily. i saw him try to cr. strong and cr. forward her jump ins a couple times really early on, but either traded or got beat out. i wish he would’ve ex hurricane’d her jump ins more consistently after that… he just blocked pretty much every jump in attempt for the rest of the matches.

that matchup is AT MOST 5.5/4.5 in Chuns favor. its really not THAT hard…and to be honest, tier lists can be thrown out the window for all i care. they dont take into consideration a players playstyle. for example, rushdown chun vs space/poke chun.

Rushdown Chun’s scare the shit out of me…

That tier list is EPIC fail man. It has Rog vs Guy 5 - 5 and Guy vs Guile 6-4 in Guy’s Favour. Some other stupid made up numbers too, I wonder sometimes if I’m playing the same game as these guys who write these lists.

might have been posted before im not sure but im wondering how he didn’t get srk’d at 30 seconds after the knockdown. Did the ryu just not do it? or did he time the j.hk so that he couldnt?

kiryu went for a safejump with j. rh but it wasn’t deep enough to work as a safe jump. ryu just didn’t dp, that’s all. you can’t safe jump ryu anyway. 3 frame reversal dp’s will beat any safejump attempts.

Yeah I agree for the most part. I’ll look at a tier list when it first comes out just to see how my performance stacks up against it, and to see if I need to spend time tweaking matchups and whatnot. But you think Chun vs. Guy is only 5.5 - 4.5 Chun? PLEASE enlighten me sir. The two best Chuns I spar with poke the living hell out of me and that’s pretty much how that goes.

Yeah, I think Rog has an advantage over Guy, but I really do believe that Guy vs. Guile is at worst even for Guy. When I have an untechable knockdown vs. Guile, in my experience I’ve shut down some pretty solid Guile players with the simple down + mp. Beats flashkick and Guile doesn’t have time to cr. FP it…getting in can be a pain in the ass though. It could be the case that I haven’t faced a good enough Guile player though…

Not to derail the thread, but this has been a topic I’ve seen a lot lately. Check this vid out:

I would assume that Guy can safejump an opponent with a 3 frame SRK off of a run >> slide setup, or is this a bad assumption?

klutch read my write up on chun

edit: nvm i just realized that my write up isnt in the matchup guide…i guess i had posted the info somewhere else…

@Mista Klutch
I’m pretty sure the safe jump setup off of run->slide with vertical jump MK isn’t safe versus 3-frame reversals. The set up (as I understand it) is to knock them down with run->slide, and then hold up, and on the way down hit them with J.MK. You can still mix it up on characters with 3-frame reversals by empty jumping though. If you do the same setup where you run->slide and hold up but you empty jump instead, you don’t have to recover from the j.MK which lets you land fast enough for the reversal DP to get blocked.

Guy has a 40 frame jump so he won’t land in time to beat the DP. However you can neutral Jump EX air grab and crouch tech when you land, beating throws and/or starting a combo.
