I guess it’s good that he’s calling for calm (after he already caused an assault on the Capitol), no matter how utterly disingenuous he is in this: if nothing else he’s the only one that his cult will listen to.
Seeing how De Blasio’s handled covid lockdowns and what it’s doing to the city has been… interesting I guess. But Bloomberg has a very authoritarian streak running through him too, so between the two of them, I think it’s inaccurate to say NYC don’t like dictator types.

i just realized what all the big tech app companies banning trump reminded me of.
it reminded me of a school bully that has been always getting his way. making the fateful mistake of picking a fight with the new kid in school who just happens to know karate.
and got bodied for free.
zuckerberg, bezos, and the other far richer billionaires showed trump just how weak and powerless he really is.
