The Playstation Thread: PS5 VR coming/State of Play this Thursday 5pm EST

Another gem…I didn’t even know who Gackt was at the time.

I dig that the very first stage you play becomes the intro video.

Loved this song.

Mine was Disgaea. I got my PS2 later than others lol

I coudln’t get into Chaos Legion. I played through the first 5 or so missions and it just didn’t click. It just felt like DMC but not as good.

I had a lot more fun playing through that game as the chick, Arcia, then i did as what’s his name…the main character…Seige? Was that his name?

I just couldn’t get into the whole mechanic of having these other demons that you control. I don’t know if I just wasn’t in a space where that type of thing was something I’d have liked or if it just didn’t seem well done to me, but I didn’t get through more than a few missions. The enemies seemed repetitive too.

Chaos Legion was awesome. Loved the music and gameplay. Probably why I liked astral chain so much.

This was my biggest gripe. The enemies where very repetitive and didn’t really do much. Small movesets and such. Game was perhaps a bit of ahead of its time with the Legions as well since they couldn’t really do much. Just some formations and independent actions and such. Astral Chain as mentioned is a much more realized execution of this idea imo. Seige had basically no moveset either which kinda sucked. Probably why I like Arcia more. She had a decent sized Gun-Fu moveset, and she was extremely agile. Made her a lot of fun imo. Would like to see someone try her style of play out again. Perhaps Lady in DMC VI? I dunno.

When I heard what Astral Chain was about, it made me think of Chaos Legion actually, and knowing how P* rolls, it’s probably a much better take on it. Maybe sometime down the road I’ll give that one a try.

Chaos Legion was dope. I still have my copy.

I think my first PS2 game was The Bouncer. We got that and Ready 2 Rumble.

All I want to know is if the remastering engine rumor is true that gives the PS5 full backwards compatibility with all previous PlayStation consoles, if so Sony has already won the next gen…not to mention being able to play NFL2K5 football again.
