Going to try to get the beam bounce and compare damages soon. If I can get two CS reps into a beam bounce and still be able to OTG into Cold Star without them teching out then I should get some pretty hefty damage. Unrelated, but Merkyl when you discovered the OTG into beam tech you mentioned it worked off of cornered back throws, but I can’t seem to replicate it. Does it work with Plasma Beam at all? I either get the OTG an no assist comes out or I get an assist and the OTG doesn’t connect in time.
Edit: After testing the Beam Bounce combo, here’s what I got
st.M -> st.H -> H Mirage Feint -> j.L Crescent Scythe -> j.L Talon Attack -> st.M -> st.H -> H Mirage Feint -> j.L Crescent Scythe -> j.L Talon Attack -> S + Plasma Beam -> j.H -> j.L Talon Attack -> Beam Bounce -> S -> j.H -> j.H Crescent Scythe -> j.L Talon Attack -> Ankle Slice + Cold Star -> S -> j.H -> j.H Crescent Scythe -> j.L Talon Attack -> Ankle Slice -> Rage Trigger
for a total of 808,500. You can get 20k more damage if you start the combo off with a crossup Talon Attack, but that seems to make the Cold Star relaunch very difficult, possibly even character specific. Either way it’s quite a bit more than the 789,900 that my Neck Slice combo gives you with the minimum hits, though it’s much more finnicky.
Also managed to get the back throw extension with Plasma Beam a few times. Full combo off a back throw with Plasma Beam and Cold Star gives 850k with a DHC. Not bad.
