How’s this, play Bastion now, and look for a summer sale price for Transistor. I still need to go back and finish this and Child of Light, I’ve been playing too much Dawngate.

Well explain yourself a bit more, maybe I can help you out. Did you get the cracked exe?

Need to gift a copy of Witcher 2 to a bud if that goes on a good sale, he needs to play that before Wild Hunt drops.

Witcher 2 is on sale for $5 at gamers gate. DRM free version

I don’t to turn shit into a trouble shooting thread, but fuckin Windows 8 man.

Every time I turn on my computer, the screen starts to blink rapidly. It’s not my monitor; because I tried it out on a VGA, DVI, and HDMI ones.

Basically, the computer has a mini crash after the screen blinks on and off continuously. Oddly enough, this problem occurs when I use any web browser, rather than playing games or use CPU intensive progrmS.

When that shit recently occured, I pulled up my CPU/GPU reading programs and the task manager to see how much stress the screen blinking put on my computer. Everything was normal, cool temps and low workloads.

Did some research and found out that my specific card has compatibility issues with Windows 8, that can be solved by driver update… Everything is to date; even updated drivers in safe mode. Shit still happens.

What do you guys think? Hardware problem or Windows 8 being shitty in general? Might move my card to a different PCI-E slot to see if that makes any difference.

Most likely hardware. Could try some different drivers to see, and swapping out PCI slots could be a next step.

You said it does it when you turn on the computer. Is that before you get into windows, or after the Windows logo pops up?

Wow, I just thought it was my gpu going, but I have this same issue. It also happens when I go full screen with windows media center.

What card so you have?

It occurs sometime 10 minutes after the first boot up into the Windows environment. Like I said, it only happens during web browsing.

a GTX 750ti, EVGA brand.

Like I said before, all drivers installed on my computer have been updated via safe mode. Blinking shit still happens.

I will have to find some time on my day off to swap the card into a different slot. Might move the ram sticks to a different slots too, or try out one ram stick instead. If this shit persists, I might have to get a replacement mobo. And if shit still persists after that, Microsoft will have hell rained down upon them.

I have a GTS 250, and the blinking issue started up a few weeks ago I think. I hadn’t considered it to be a windows issue, but now I’ll dig into it a bit.

Alright, so I’m slowly getting the funds to build my atx based PC, but I’m still debating on the case. I was initially thinking about the Corsair 550D with noctua fans replacing the stock and a noctua nh-d15 for a cpu cooler. However, I’m not sure if that’s the best case for a silent PC build because I’ve been reading mixed comments. The comments usually mention there’s not enough airflow which created problems for some people. Then again, most of these people are using SLI GPUs which I don’t plan on doing. Are there other, newer cases I should be looking at instead? I was also considering the NZXT mid towers (H2, H440, H230).

My guess is that when going for a silent PC case, there’s a trade-off in airflow due to the sound dampening material and most having a closed off design.

get a cooler master bruh

I would advise against getting a Cooler Master case. The N400 had the wrong screws used to screw the mobo ontop of the stand off brackets. Asked for replacement parts and they refused to send any out. So I had to go and buy aftermarket screws and washers.

Incompetent fucks :bluu:

sucks to suck

this is the case im building with

I see alot go to the fractal design r4 for silent builds or the XL version for more space. think that shit comes with one stock fan though. It seems to go on sale frequently aswell.

Yet another freebie from EA. You can grab a free copy of Peggle on Origin until August 5th. Nice!

this case has great options for air flow, originally I wanted to get the corsair 800D but they’ve discontinued it so it became a toss up between the define r4, corsair 750D or god forbid the 900D
