Do GPU fans expel heat out of the back of my computer? or do the fans blow heat out inside the case?
my video card’s fan is hovering above the power supply. While the PSU’s fans are blowing out of the case, I still fear that the heat emanating from it could be sucked in by the card’s fan.
I have a 2 x 10 fan blowing at an angle into my pc so that the air is pushed out. if the cpu ia get to g hotter than the gpu I angle it to blow top to bottom.
so as long as you pump in cool air it doesnt matter where the hot air is if you have cool air blown in. it will be cooled over the long run.
only issue is i have to clean the pc double what I usually do.
I have no interest in DR3, but I’d like to say that disabling the 30fps cap might detract from how the game is supposed to feel. After all, the developers made it with that 30-framerate in mind. Let that settle in for a moment.
Whatever, I’m just saying. You can do whatever you want.
Yeah, disappointing, but at least it’ll still have the advantage of a locked 30fps over the Xbox version. OTOH that new co-op DLC is also a legit perk too.
Gotta show a little self-restraint during that Summer Sale. Not counting the freebie games I acquired through bundles, I’ve been doing a good job of keeping my backlog down to but a handful of titles.
Optimal is to have one fan blowing heat from the GPU upwards to the top of the case where an exhaust fan expels heat to the outside while another fan blows excess heat outside the rear of the case. For CPU’s the optimal is to have one fan sucking heat from the CPU and another blowing across it towards the exhaust fans. For the case fans, have one fan sucking in cool air at the bottom front and another fan at the top rear of the case to expel rising heat and, optionally one or two at the top of the case, expelling stagnant heat or at the bottom sucking in cool air. Heat rises. Pressure moves from highest to lowest.
The GPU fan above your PSU isn’t sucking in heat from the PSU, it’s sucking away heat from the GPU. Believe me, there’s much more heat there than the residual heat from the PSU. That warm air should be getting pushed up to an exhaust fan where it is expelled. As long as your temps and performance are okay, everything’s probably fine.
I like how you always say “i’m outi” and then you spell your name after that too. i am not joking and i am not being
sarcastic or anything… It’s just like… Who does that? lulz
