That’s a nice monitor but I don’t want anything larger than 30". I live in NY so space is expensive.
negro, it’s 24 inch, read motherfucker, reeeed
I read yours but I already have a 23" screen. I was talking about the 40"one that was posted.
I want 30" if I can. Dat ultra wide would mean I don’t need a dual screen setup.
they sell 27 inch versions of what I got, but it’s around 300$ if iirc
this is really good except I paid 550 for it:rage:

newegg is often trolling me. they like to email me these promos AFTER I bought the same device for more $:rage:
Is that good for fighting games?
yes it is I checked review here www.displaylag.com
I have a small arcade cabinet anyway I use that for gaming but OVERALL this big-ass benq monitor is baws for just everything I tried so far.
It’s not top of the line in input lag but it’s 28ms that’s pretty good.
If the size/colors on the evo benq bother you this looks like a good compromise.
So what’s a good, 30-34" monitor for fighting games? I want ultra wide but if that can’t be had so be it.
I have an old LG monitor that turned out to be great for fighters. I’m reluctant to give it up but I need more real estate to do work, which is mainly spreadsheets these days.
I went to: http://www.displaylag.com/display-database/ and did the sorting for you.
So in your size range this is the best in terms of lag: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01047I0X2/ I cheated and went to 35. The other sizes had more lag.
I don’t even know who you are but you made me cry.
Good job, asshole.
Just facts man, go to the site and do the sorting yourself, find out how many ms of lag is acceptable to you.
In seriousness, that sucks. I can’t justify spending over a grand just on a monitor. I guess I’ll just wait it out.
The reason I wanted a new monitor was because my job just gave me an extra $800 for no reason. Was gonna take half and finally upgrade. But with that price I’m just gonna put this into my investment account and buy another monitor in a couple of years.
I didn’t even upgrade my main system because it would’ve been $500. No way I’m doing more that double that just for a monitor.
You could probably still make it happen, just look it up for yourself. How many ms of lag can you tolerate?
None, realistically. I play fighting games almost exclusively so I need it to be instant.
I’ll take a look when I’m home. Didn’t even know there was a website for it.
shakes head Dat ultrawide gsync
Got dat 7970 up and running. My cousin got here, and when we popped open my rig we realized that the GPU wouldn’t fit into my tower, so we were going to put it into my older tower which has a lot more room until we did a Ghetto Mod* of my current tower to where we got the GPU to fit. Let’s just say there’s less room for HDD’s in this tower now.
We fit the GPU onto my MOBO and my PSU wasn’t enough to power this giant card. I had to go out and buy a new PSU. Best Buy and Staples carried shitty low watt ones so we had to go to a store that specializes in PC parts and even the selection there was pretty limited. Got a 600W PSU(sadly it was the highest watt PSU they had available, this is the best I could get locally today without ordering online. I was hoping for a 650-750 one at least but this’ll do for now) I uninstalled my old NVidia drivers, installed the AMD ones, and starting benchmarking games. The performance boost is fucking nuts.
100 bucks for the PSU
150 bucks for the 7970(Canadian, so that’s like a $105 American or so after exchanges rates? Awesome deal imo)
$250 upgrade to my PC which should have it last for a few more years. I’m pretty damn happy. Everything is so smoove. Going from NVidia to AMD I’ll let you guys know about the supposed “shitty drivers” people are always complaining about. Playing games at a downsampled 1440p with all the bells and whistles flicked on is a good feeling.
I told you the 7970 was legit.
Tell me what you do to get metro last light working when the volumetric clouds are everywhere.
lol that 970 card is like 2 normal size video cards. its heavier than my dicc :looney:
thought I had to buy a new power supply too but I found 2 of those pcie modular cables for my power supply.
