is it possible to position the CPU heatsink/fan on an AM3+ board to exhaust the air towards the case’s rear fan? The only positions my fan can face is towards the bottom where everything else is, or towards the top where I get some ventilation.
The CoolerMaster Hyper 212 solves this problem. You can orient it however, provided your memory isn’t too tall. Heasinks on memory is fucking dumb anyhow, but I still dremel’ed my son’s PC in order to get clearance. I made some sparks, It fits better and I don’t have two useless heasinks cluttering up my desk.
SRK PC Gamers:
I was kind of curious, I have been gaming on laptops for the last few years and I have decided that I want to build a dedicated master race desktop since I have the time and the money to do so now. I would say my budget is 3000 or so, and I basically want to build a good performing desktop that can run high end games. I haven’t build a PC since the pentium 2 days, so I am a little rusty. What would be a good resource to walk me through the build, and what kind of build should I make considering my budget.
Also, is anybody interested in the news of IBM’s new chips using 7nm? I hope we can increase raw processing power + pipelining.
I wonder if this means we will see the rise of PowerPC architecture in home computing markets. Completely barring Power Macs of the 90’s since those were 50/50 dicc.
im waiting for dx12 benchmarks to find out if ill be going 980 ti sli or fury x cross fire. I want to go hardcore sli with the current build I have because I know im just gonna have to build a new one when the new guys start arriving. new build winter 2016 I think, preferably wireless technology because my current set up looks like a spider web.
I can’t really recall which (if any) of you guys in this thread are console gamers as well, but just a heads up that Rocket League launched free for PS+ this month on PS4, so that may be an option if you wanted to check it out.
