The PC gaming Thread. Steam/GOG/Origin/Etc. Game/Software/Hardware talk

You’re a fucking retard; the Sado Masochist of the PC thread.

It’s like you forgot Raiden IV’s base-build is on the PC, since the Taito Type X is p much a mid-level PC from 2008. The only issue is that the games are localized to Steam by a rag-tag team of greenhorns.

Don’t blame the developers, blame the publishers for churning out home-releases with tight deadlines and tight budgets.

Guys, let’s make a movie together :3

^ No!

I have Blender installed for some reason. Never touched it at all. Why?

i fooled around with Blender a few years a go. that program’s UI is hard as hell.

i just use Sketchup now, lol.

Wtf why are you so rude about it? You’ll find out about it yourself anyway

I don’t get though why you ask me to explain then I tell you its an evolution of gaming/film and you throw the book question at me, why even ask Just read a book. Animals have multiple ways to take in information, many are so different from humans than you could imagine

You can pretend you’re safe behind the book question but you’ve only really exposed how closed off you are from critical thinking, good luck.

Poop

this video is a god send, this stuff needs to get exposed more often. this is stuff I’ve been saying for years and years. I moved to PC because of the engineering possibilities with experiences but from my bad habits of playing games I got roped into steam sales. its interesting to see the many games people were hyped about but its kind of annoying seeing how these companies are painting the same repetitive gameplay mechanics with different colours.

I will be moving to VR creative experiences exclusively and then when the tech gets better AR. monitor games are now a joke.

That’s been going on for many years now.
People are scared to be creative, or perhaps, maybe they are unable of being creative. Uncharted is a game that comes to mind with this formula.
Uncharted 2 was an entertaining game, and even though I found it boring as shit gameplay wise, the story was good enough to keep me interested as to what will happen next. Sadly, Uncharted 3 was literally a copy paste of part 2, while part 4 is looking quiet similar. The recent video displaying Uncharted 4 is possibly one of the most boring things I’ve ever watched, but people feel like it’s this amazing gift. As to why people like it is 2 things: Either players never played Uncharted 2, or perhaps people just love eating the same shit.

Also, I’m assuming you didn’t watch the entire video, since you brought up VR. Delay gratification actually falls within that category with VR since it actually offer nothing new in terms of actual gameplay. In fact, games being developed for VR are actually much worse just so players can handle the inputs VR can actually in-take what’s going on (think of the Kinect for Xbox and how they tried to be initiative with the subject). The video actually goes over that, in ways to lure in the player into thinking its a new experience, when in reality, it’s the same thing. Sometimes the media is even dumbed down, seeing as how the illusion can be so strong to allow this type of sabotage. It’s unfortunate, but that’s where the current gen is heading.

There are ways to avoid this type of conflict, but that comes back into the subject once again: people are scared to be creative.

cs go clutch that only the best of you can appreciate

can’t wait until i can get online with games.

ExposedD don’t want these hands.

these Buttholehands…

If you have yet to play competetive cs go , i can tell you that you will have alot of fun doing so.
the community is a bit shit and people will be quick to demonize you if they feel like you are the reason the team is losing (even if you are the best player in the team).
i think that applies much more to the higher lvls of competetive rather than beginner ones though. So you should be all cool if you have yet to dive in.

i can’t recommend this game enough. i am very picky about games and shiz so you can take my word for it.
it’s the only fps that has gotten me truly hooked , and that’s because it requires strategy & wits along with skill.
This game punishes those who try to play it like any other fps. I guess that is what makes CS special. It’s also just extremely fun. 1300+ hours invested will tell you that much.

nah the VR games that have been tested and made up till now have been similar to games of the past BECAUSE Vr is in its infancy, its quickly become obvious that using VR as a close up monitor doesn’t work; even using a control pad doesn’t work well with VR. nintendo thrived with innovation because their games were built around each controller, just a change in how the controller worked greately affected the experience. VR doesn’t have a standard control scheme, infact its been openly expressed and open accepted in the VR community that the controller scheme can’t stagnate like consoles have.

everyone who is able to think about interactivity creatively are very aware of what could be done with VR, im not expecting to just be sitting playing a game, VR allows you to interact with space on an incredible level. a couple of days ago a guy was talking about laying in bed while resting at a campfire in ark survival evolved, small things like that and this is with a devkit. the more advanced VR will get the more advanced AR tech will naturally follow. ultimately AR will change the way the world works, its not just about playing games my main excitement about VR will be its social gameplay and freedom of expression, no more pressing a button to wave, all of our body will be tools of conversation.

the probablem with VR debates is consumers think consuming and creatives think creatively. whats sad about it is creatives want to break the spell consumers are in but the seem to choose the heavy whip because the sound is familiar Lol

soz im using a phone to reply btw.

games from pong onwards have been using delayed gratification, its used to maintain the connection between player and world interaction. even the launch VR devices aim to eliminate delayed gratification because you have complete movement of your body, the point of VR is to simulate a mythical real life with freedom of interactivity. seasoned developers know this which is why A LOT of them have left their companies. monitor games thrive from delayed gratification, if people let it thrive in VR then at least it will contribute towards the development of AR. but theres too much potential in experiences to worry about the games that abuse it

Fuck me, nearly all of my active Steam friends are playing Terraria.

I feel left out.

Wasn’t that thrilled with streets of rage. I expected it to be allow complete movement around the stage, similar to games like Final Fight, or Double Dragon. Instead, there are three lateral planes that you hop between, then are able to move horizontally.

The fighting isn’t bad though, only fucked with a few characters. Every enemy was the exact same dude, though, except for the boss. Didn’t bother playing past the first level.

Gratz to @jride for getting successfully mounted by yours truly.

There are different enemies in the other stages. Was watching someone stream it some time ago and it looked hilarious.

Good deal on a 500gb evo 850 ssd.

Nice find.
Been looking for some higher capacity ssd’s for gaming.

They’re great. Load times cut significantly, and just overall quality of life improvements.

I read somewhere that Samsung is making a 2tb ssd. Motherfucker will probably cost as much as a low end pc.
