I just got the impression from watching the trailer and reading the steam page that it seemed like I should be listening to crawling in my skin by linkin park the entire time I was reading the page. If the game is satire that was not the impression I had from the steam page at all. So the game is worth buying then? I also play binding of Isaac and thought this game seemed depressing as hell.
yeah i aint running it on epic settings on that card, but i’ve run Shadows of Mordor, and Witcher 3, and loads of other games at max settings without issues. There are loads of people with new Alienware PC’s and Nvidia 980 series that are having mad issues.
It reminds me a lot of the issues with multi-core pc’s that Rage had when it first launched (and made John Carmack quit pc games)
I’m pre-loading Batman: Arkham Knight. The game is 33GB. If the game was this big why wait until the day before release to allow people to pre-load? Most people were be able to play by release day.
Shovel Knight
Sniper Elite 3
Terrarria
The Escapists (which I returned)
The Wolf Among Us
Transistor
South Park: The Stick of Truth
I havn’t tried all of these, but so far, Shovel Knight is shaping up to be the cream of the crop.
I probably shouldn’t buy and more, but Civilization: Beyond Earth for $20 is looking very tempting. My craving for a 4X strategy is saying “buy it”, but my brain is saying “wait for at least one expansion to come out, then get the next on-sale bundle”.
Green Man put up a 40% discount code publicly for Arkham Knight. This will be the cheapest you can get the game you plan on buying on Day One. I wonder if will stack with it’s current 25% off discount code.
The previous game was a different developer, predictably not as good and actually made them give up on the whole “release Arkham every year!” plan.
Conversely, that seems to have spooked WB Games enough where the directive to Rocksteady was just “add a Batmobile and don’t change a fucking thing, TAKE ZERO RISKS” from what I’m seeing. So pretty much Arkham City with a Batmobile, which is still pretty cool and all, just not exactly a huge step up like City was from Asylum. Speculation based on observations, not having played it yet admittedly. Gotta see if WB Games hired a team that knows fuck all about making a proper PC port, unlike MKX.
Alien: Isolation
Alien: Isolation - Season Pass
The Evil Within
The Evil Within Season Pass
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
Resident Evil 4
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Dishonored GOTY (already had vanilla version but it was cheaper to buy it than all the DLC lol)
Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition
DARK SOULS II: Scholar of the First Sin
5 horror games and 3 ARPGs for a total of $111 damn I got a steal.
You spent 100 bucks on old games you will probably play for 5 minutes before spending time on the current FOTM, fuck that bullshit. I mean cool you got a bargain but just naw man.
I might spring 5 bucks to play an old classic from GOG from time to time but some of you guys are on a different level completely.
so I been playing Ark Survival evolved at moments that I could get on. hilarious, I have to teak the settings pretty low to get a viewable judder in VR; tough thats not whats hilarious, the game is really fun/funny. I’ve been playing it 60% monitor 40% VR, in VR its really captivating being in this place and when its all sorted I’ll be playing it like that exclusive (its built from the ground up with VR in mind)
ofcourse, you find a lot of untrustworthy people but it adds to the game, makes you think “im gonna get real strong, and nobody will steal my clothes and my shit while im sleeping next time” at the moment I’ve decided on a good place to hide myself so it shouldn’t be too bad. at first I didn’t like the fact I had to keep remaking a character but then I realise its set up like Don’t Starve where multiple game saves is required to get the most out of it (multiple servers in this case) its cool because you could be ruling one server then having problems in another.
earlier today I went in server… 13 I think? and found a huge metal base in the shore of the ocean, I swam over to it to have a closer look, couldn’t find an intrance at first so tried to swim underneath it where there were open spaces to swim, couldn’t get under there for some reason (not sure if going under has been added yet) but while trying that all of a sudden to my right a metal lance just missed my head, some armour clad dude was trying to poke me with this lance, I pushed the talk button and was like “whoa whoa, I was just having a look calm down” so the guy stopped tryng to pierce my head and just swam around a bit checking me out and then swam past me and went into the metal base, turn towards me and the door went THUD … after laughing at the moment I pushed to talk again and I was like “Hey! can I have a look inside there?” the door swings open THUD …“NO!”…Thud …then I was like “how big is it in there?” it looked small looking into there but its huge. I noticed when the door opened again that there were three doors around behind him …Thud …“its quite big, theres loads of doors to protect the place” THUD …so I said “well, can I have a look?” he says “NO!” I say “why not!?” Thud …“I don’t trust you.” THUD …aww man, but I’m a good guy, I wouldn’t do anything. he didn’t reply after that Lol I took pictures but I turned off the PC before I saved it LOL woops, its probably still there anyway
