The PC gaming Thread. Steam/GOG/Origin/Etc. Game/Software/Hardware talk

STEAM DA GOAT! We’re so lucky to have a powerful company that gives a damn about it’s customers.

This should’ve been done a loooong time ago. Shoutouts to games that are unplayable on launch.

Yo, I’m gonna give steam support a call once out if work. I really wanna refund said game. I only got 30 mins into it

Hm, at least I don’t have to worry so much about making a bad purchase anymore. So, yeah, I’m cool with this.

I used to think steam were cool till the whole final fantasy fiasco

In that case, EA cared more. Origin has had this as long as I remember.

This is something that should’ve been a part of Steam to begin with. Better late than never, I guess, but I’ll never get my money back for the multiple games I’ve bought that simply don’t work.

Wish Steam had that policy before MKX was released on PC.

I remember some dude on Gamefaqs said he argued with those at Steam for a whole month before they finally gave him his refund on MKX.

I find this hilarious that this reversal of policy came LONG AFTER ORIGIN (an EA program, of all things) HAD THIS SHIT LONG AGO.

Maybe it had something to do with government of Australia handing Valve their ass in that regard.

“Get Windows 10”

So who got it? Shit popped up on my taskbar.

Y’all can make Origin jokes if you want, all they ever did for me was refund the money from Dawngate after shitcanning everyone and shutting it down.

So fuck EA forever, basically.

It actually is “reserve your upgrade of windows 10”, it releases at the end of July.

Fallout 4 announcement today. Not really my thing, but it will be interesting to see if they revamped/changed the engine (if they show any footage).

MY home PC hasn’t been connected to the internet for a couple of days so I haven’t seen the upgrade button myself. Kinda torn on the idea of it. I want to be out ahead of everyone so I can stick my nose up at people but on the other hand I don’t really feel like being a Microsoft guinea pig

Fallout 4, or ‘What it’s like to experience nuclear war right when it happens’ edition.
Oh, that and Dogmeat.

Steam now offers refunds, so long as you purchased the game within two weeks, and played less than two hours.

Steam strict on their rules. Tried to get a refund on said game. Only have 30 mins into it, but bought the game Nov 2014. They just be “nope. Nuh uh. Sorry. Can’t. Hell no. Nope!”

Lol they would go broke if that was the case. I have DOZENS of games I have bought but only played once for a few minutes, or not at all even. I wonder if they will refund games I never played…

You are allowed to argue your case though, I got a buddy who picked up Evolve, then stopped playing when he found out about the DLC nonsense, and they refunded his purchase.

Someone contacted Steam for a refund on Bioshock Infinite, and his or her request was granted.

It made news on GameSpot.

I should try to get my money back for Evolve, DLC is taking too damn long to come out, and I got ripped off having to buy DLC anyways…over both limits though, Imma try though, and plead my case…I got e-mails between me and the dev’s discussing my discontent, as well, to throw at em as well as my tears.

I should ask for a refund on the STALKER games. Didn’t like them at all.

After some thought, I’m going to hold that L on the Steam release of MKX. I’m sure trying to deal with Steam directly over something that I bought at G2A for way less than I should have would probably cause more harm than good.
