The PC gaming Thread. Steam/GOG/Origin/Etc. Game/Software/Hardware talk

I just check Arkham City GOTY and there was no GFWL.

Anybody thinking about getting Forced? I watched the making of video and it was really interesting, dev team lived with each other for years to get it out. Then after watching some gameplay I thought that it looked like Gauntlet, which I loved as Exodus. Jrā€¦ The video I linked said it was pretty much that what it is except deeper. Thinking about picking it up now that I know that.

Looks cool. Ive just been fuckinā€™ around with Fallout 3 the last few days. Trying out mods and shit.

Cryoh talked about it, and we usually get the same stuff so probably.

Since Im still reletively new to PC gaming, what is SecurROM? I mean how can I tell if a game uses it?

SecuROM is a type of DRM that limits how many times you can install a game. The Riddick games on PC had it and you can only install it 3 times. The use of SecuROM should be in the gameā€™s description

Awesome, once it goes on sale or somethin Iā€™ll probably pick it up

Ok, Ive heard about it in the past but I thought it was sort of old and wasnt used anymore. I gotta keep an eye out for that shit though. I tend to delete shit if I need space or just dont use it, then download/install it again when I do feel like playing.

I bought Fallout 3: GOTY on Steam yesterday, along with Dead Space and the first and second F.E.A.R games. All on a $20 Steam card.

Batman: Ass City did this too but it was patched recently to remove it.

I never knew the Riddick games had that DRM. Thatā€™s fucked up. I have the terribly performing console versions instead.

Thankfully thereā€™s a DRM free version of the Riddick games available on GoG. Smart developers know to remove that shit after a couple of months. WB fucked up by keeping that shit on Batman for two years.

Typing of the Dead is on sale for %50 off right now.

Does anyone play KOFXIII on PC? Is the netcode improved? Are there a good number of people playing on the PC?

The GOG version has no multiplayer, but then again, I donā€™t think anyone bothered to play that game online(even though it was pretty good.)

Both Riddick games are GDLK, Iā€™m a huge fan of Starbreeze Studios who also made the equally excellent The Darkness even though it was too easy I still had a blast with it.

Bought $42 woth of games on the Halloween sale because with the %75 off deals Black Friday and Christmas sales ainā€™t topping that.

Riddick games were GDLK. I bought the two-in-one deal(both games on a single disc) for $10 years ago on console and I had a blast.

I always wanted to play the 1st Riddick since it came out around the time Half-Life 2 and Doom 3 did, with comparable graphics. Glad I finally did.

Word, The Darknessā€™ story and atmosphere really shined.

Spoiler

When Jackie tried to take his own life I think I cried a little. :ā€™(

Speaking of Starbreeze Studios, Iā€™m DYING to play Syndicate. I no longer have my PS3 and it just so happens to be a fucken Origin exclusive.

Darkness II had amazing gameplay even if it wasnā€™t made by Starbreeze IIRC.

Dual whield weapons+darkness powers at all times. Quad-whield, baby!
