Quickie for you guys in the know, intel mobo should be Z97/1150 right?
This is the board am looking at getting to rebuild my rig from atm, can get it for £90 (which is about 150bucks i think) seems decent enough, just the cpu socket is the last pain in the arse I have understanding this newish shit.
Yar its 1150, this will do me for a while or should I get mobo that is socket 1151? or will cpus be backwards compatible? Clearly I dont understand this
In my opinion, right now stick to LGA 1150. It’s one of the most common ones and provides a very good bang for your buck. You have an ample selection of 1150 CPU’s for a very wide range of price and performance as well as things like coolers. That may be a bit more difficult for a newer socket, you might be very limited. CPU’s are not backward compatible.
Yea I went full retard there in my line of thinking, forgot I got a budget thanks for the tips man. Just need a solid mobo, i5 will do me it is after all only for gaming.
I just bought some paint jobs for ETS2 yesterday.
Canadian and Polish is all I need.
Although I do like that American Statue of Liberty paint job.
Got me playing the game again, took a long haul from Bratislava to Verona.
One more level up and I can max out my travel distance… Slovakia to England, here I come!
Got my $5 value of titanfall. Game is fun, but I’m terrible at shooters.
Also ordered a wireless adapter to use my 360 controllers (not for titanfall, other games). It’s supposed to be the official MS one, hopefully it works ok.
Speaking of 360 controllers, has anyone tried the Razer Sabretooth controller? My 360 controller is starting to fuck up on me (B button gets stuck often) and I’m looking to replace it with something better.
Thats a nice video Val cheers, last question ill annoy the board with, anybody outside of the states bought PC hardware from the likes of newegg and had no problem with it? States gets such a bargain on gear its definately worth buying there and coughing up for delievery fees.
Does it even allow you to buy form Newegg.com? I’m in Canada and it won’t let me put a Canad address. Although that could be because those sons of bitches want me to use the not-as-good Newegg.CA
Gonna need to get enjoying that second class citizenship dawg, I havent made up a shopping list yet and made a price comparison though so Ill let yall know if I be getting the shaft.
Shiiiiiet color me jealous. When I bought my GPU I had to paypal the money to RockB and have him buy it for me because the canad price was almost a full $100 more at the time.
Seems legit, can build a system for £310 for parts (which will tan W3) and delivery will come in about £50. Need to run some comparisons but yea seems legit.
I rock a PS3 controller on PC for games I don’t use KB/M for. I’ve always preferred the Dual Shock 3 & 4 to the Xbox pads.
Why not get a PS4 pad? I think you need to download a driver, but after that, all games you use it with just think it’s a 360 pad. All games that use Xinput will see your PS3/PS4 pad as a 360 one.
Getting a used PS3 pad for $20 then just using a generic USB cable to connect it to your PC would probably be cheaper too.
I don’t like the layout of the PS3/4 controller. I find the joystick configuration of the Xbox controller more comfortable for the few games I play on pad.
I’m very much a Kb/m warrior. Shit even the assassins’ creed games I payed on kb/m even though the devs said that you had to be stupid to do it. It’s very rare that I switch to controller but shit like Stick of Truth (which had issues with keyboard) and Strider I’ll switch to controller.
I’d stay away from the Razer controllers. They tend to fall apart pretty quickly. A friend of mine bought one and ended up exchanging it 3 times before he just got his money back. Build quality might have changed since, but knowing Razer’s reputation I doubt it.
If you like the 360 pad you might want to grab the Xbox one pad. It’s got a much better d-pad and is compatible with all the same games as the 360 pad. I know you said you didn’t like the layout but the PS4 controller is also a great option and is supported by most games.
If you want to gamble on the Sabertooth just make sure to get an extended warranty.
