ugh! A lot of these reboots/sequels screw up winning formulas. I saw Ys games on Steam. I shall check those out. I remember Mask of the Sun being quite challenging.
Only just seeing this now. The Shadow Warrior reboot looks cool, but it doesnāt get me nearly as hype as Rise of the Triad 2013 does.
New interview with the developers of ROTT 2013:
Oh, and lol @ 02:38 :
MK9 on PC is amazing. I just wish they added the Vita costumes to it.
These guys get it. Watch this video, then watch the one about Shadow Warrior. These guys have an amazing design philosophy of keeping this game oldschool and preserving the āsoulā of Rise of the Triad.
In the Shadow Warrior video, one of the developer straight-up says they canāt make the modern Shadow Warrior game like the original. Once you see the gameplay video of Shadow Warrior, it honestly looks nothing like the original in any way, especially the run speed. Flying Wild Hog doesnāt know whatās up, they only have a small amount of knowledge of how to make an oldschool FPS game, and their game āHard Resetā is proof. Slow-ass walk/run speeds=ass.
Oh god, I donĀ“t know, what should I preorder at Steam. Lost Planet 3, Payday 2, the new Splinter Cell, Saints Row 4, the new XCOM, wonder what should I get.
I would hold off on Lost Planet 3 until people get their hands on it. Spark Unlimited has a shitty track record.
āWe have our own back end multiplayer system so no matter where you buy the game you will see the same servers and players online.ā
Ahh yeah, ROTT devs are bringing me back. In-game matchmaking to a point where you donāt need no fucking Gamespy/All Seeing Eye/reliance on Steam servers for matchmaking/servers themselves.
You should pre-order Rise of the Triad.
^Rise of the Triad looks like a game, which will turn out really good imo. Found a few traders, who sell this game for 5 TF2 keys(8ā¬), will for sure get it,
Elsword on steam
the summer steam sale was just alright this time around. the game i wanted most didnt go on sale at all (resident evil revelations) and metro last light didnt discount enough for me to buy it. but i save a few bucks here and there selling a lot of steam cards. i ended up purchasing:
FTL: 1.20$
The Swapper: 7.99$ (i think?)
Far Cry3 Blood Dragon: 8.99 (i think?)
Dues Ex:HR 1.50$
during the sale i voted for kentucky route zero to be the community choice but i think something else won, but this week it went on sale so i picked that up as well.
im outi
Roberth
ROTT doesnāt look that interesting. If the mplayer is fast paced and fun like unreal and quake series iāll buy it.
I just built my first gaming pc yesterday, right on time to miss the summer steam sale. Are their any other dates I should look out for that have great sales for pc games?
Steam has sales around Xmas, Halloween(Mainly horror games like L4D or Killing Floor) and also Thanksgiving(Think about Cyber Monday or Black Friday, they called it Autumn Sale last year), those will come after a few months. Sometimes, there are also a few publisher sales.
Link for checking prices:
They had, beside the Summer Sale, also a Spring sale with mainly Indie games on sale, not sure, if they will also do it in the following years.
You gonna be playing Rise of the Triad?
It is.
GOG.com is worth checking out, and things like the humble indie bundle can snag you games for next to nothing.
A bunch of Deep Silver games are up a dollar to $5. Saints Row 2 and 3, Sacred 2: Gold, Risen 2 are all ONE DOLLAR in a bundle and Saints Row 3 complete+Dead Island(all DLC) are $5 for both.
Iāll be playing Rise of the Triad later today or tomorrow. Iāll be Streaming it, too.
PSN darling Guacamelee is coming to steam withā¦
- Costume Pack
- The Devilās Playground DLC
Itāll be 10% off during itās first week and Tales of Space: Mutant Blobs Attack comes free with it. Iāll think Iāll buy it early to show my support even if my computer might have trouble running it.
Speaking of platformers who is getting Rayman Legends on PC?
Damn canāt wait for Rise of the Triad to be unlocked on steam so I can play it, oh well another 4 hours to go at least I already got the game preloaded at least so I donāt have to download it.
I saw they were releasing a Naruto game on Steam, too bad its the fighting series I donāt really like
Shadowrun Returns is pretty fun, its definitely Indie, but enjoyable. I like the idea of user generated content too
