its really hard for me to comment on star citizen because the ship given in the demo is kind of shitty and you only have access to an arena based area. not only with elite dangerous do I have access to a galaxy the initial ship is great and allows you to have enough control of your ship to appreciate the basics of dogfighting. star citizens production value is far ahead of elite dangerous, but the gameplay in elite is looking better.
and also what makes it an even more uneven review is the fact that theyāve added devkit 2 support in elite so
your argument is a very blanket approach. one can say the same thing about most games. why would i play any other fighting game other than cvs2, all you do is tap tap tap, why would you play any other shootemups other than raiden all you do is dodge bullets and shoot. why would you play any other action rpg that is similar to mass effect all you do is level up and shoot things. the core mechanic in all these examples are the same. you are only applying it to a genre because of your bias and just cause you feel that way. but just like there are reasons you would play 3s and not cvs2, they exist here you just havent explored them.
the reason you would play others is much the same as other games. different atmosphere, different story, interesting classes, different skills and skill system, different feeling (physics, speed, movement), different enemies, end game, items, amount of creativity and innovation you need to be good, itemization, art direction.
The problem with this logic is, when a new fighting game is introduced, they usually try to do something different/new.
So CvS2 may be the template, but at least the next game coming out will have itās own style.
Where as Diablo-clones, most just straight up copy Diablo adding little to nothing of their own idea, and usually failing more than any other clones Iāve seen.
To put it more blunt, if weāre using fighting games, we can say:
CvS2 = Diablo 2
MvC2 = PoE
Tattoo Assassin = New Gauntlet
Weāre basically just concern about a new tattoo assassin instead of something that resembles closer to how correct the template is being developed. For a safer approach, itād be nice if they followed their original template.
you missed my point, my point is they actually have their own style and are different from one to the other, sometimes a little bit sometimes substantially (not any different from other games i could compare). you guys are just failing to see them or consider them trivial or they hold no significance to youā¦ whatever it is. i can trivialize the changes from one fighting game to another or one shootem up to another too, that doesnt mean they dont have their own style.
A big part of this is the fact that, in a nutshell, different ā better.

You only think my argument is blanket approach because you missed my point, ironically howevever, your response is very blanket approach because you are lumping in your view of what you think I said with what I actually said which are 2 different things and you mentioned me having a bias when my posts have no bias whatsoever. You incorrectly lumped my observation of Diablo clones playing too similarly to Diablo with a hypothetical viewpoint of all fighting games being too similar. Diablo and Path of Exile are unquestionably much more similar to each other than CVS2 and 3S are which was my initial and only point. Itās like Iām saying Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition plays very similarly to Street Fighter 2: World Warrior and youāre saying based on that logic Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition must be exactly the same game as Marvel Vs Capcom 3 lol =P.
So I got Hatoful Boyfriendā¦Iām actually surprised on how this game turned out. I got it as a joke but now Iām finding the story to be interesting. Itās still ridiculous tho.
Itās strangely engaging, well for me at least but there are still plenty of bits in the game that were ridiculous. It also didnāt feel like a dating sim, more like a visual novel IMO.
Kinda glad to hear, since it sounds like the novelty of that gimmick would simply dick off in a matter of minutes. But it has some interesting dialogue, then thatās good.
Anyone here play Elite: Dangerous? If so, can someone help me get the hang of dogfighting? Iām starting to get the hang of moving, but fighting is another issue.
i understand what your point was, and what im saying is what you just said above is untrue (for reasons i already implied in my initial post). itās not unquestionable or definitive at all (and thatās why i said you are holding some sort of bias or lack of knowledge or giving different weight to the importance of changes in mechanics or whatever it is, all of the combined, etc.) especially if you talk to someone who has great knowledge of both games, they would say they are wildly different ya they are in the same genre but itās like night and day. just as someone who has great knowledge of cvs2 and 3s would say similarly.
Does anybody here own a mouse pad from Razer? My desk is losing the smooth finish, after all these years of using it naked with various mouses.
Iām just wondering if their mice pads use high-grade material that warrant a $20+ price tag. Donāt really care if it will āenhanceā my performance, or some dumb bullshit they use for marketing.
