Lol this is going to be the 3rd or 4th time Blood Dragon goes down to that price in the last few days. When a game comes out, check out every other game in the franchise. Blood Dragon was a flash sale a few days ago but also went down when FarCry3 was a flash sale as well. And a third time when Call of Juarez went on Flash sales (because it has a pack with Blood Dragon).

I am still debating grabbing it, but my backlog is NUTS now, and I just picked up a new contract at work, so I am gonna be hella busy.
That being said, I just grabbed Left for Dead 2, Battlefront 2, and Castle Crasherās.

@Smashbro29ā Let me make this simple, Gone Home may not require as many inputs as say Bayonetta or Street Fighter, but the fact that it requires button inputs at all definitively make it just as much a video game as those 2 seriesā itās just a different type of game. The fact that you call it a first person indie film proves your dislike for the gameās mechanics and unconventional approach has made you blind to the fact that it uses itās mechanics and approach to make a statement about the medium of video games itself. The player is free to explore the house as much or as little as wanted, finding information and playing the game at his/her own pace and thatās integral to the overall intent of the game, without that it would be a completely different experience.

While Gone Home obviously isnāt a horror game, itās intentionally designed to make the player believe it may be one up until the reveal at the end and in that sense it is very successful IMO. It gives a very strong sense of isolation, you can read about your family, but that only reminds you the player how alone you currently are, the setting really creates a creepy and tense atmosphere making you on edge and acnticipating some scares or something evil. The plot twist at the end is not just a bait and switch tactic used for shock value, but more importantly itās meant to make you the player ask yourself why you were expecting it to be scary in the first place? Why as a player were you so eager to believe the gameās red herrings and why did you want it to be a horror game so badly? Why couldnāt you accept the game at face value and not read into it the way you are right now? In short, it plays with gamerās expectations and turns them on itās head, itās one of those games that gets better the more you think about it IMO.
I completely understand why some people may hate Gone Home, but no one can deny it is a very intelligent game with a crystal clear vision.

Honestly, my first time playing CSS was like a suspense thriller. Like respawning? Too bad, wait till next round.
Itās definitely not a mindless shooter. You will get smoked the first couple of hours. However, if you want to shoot up a candy store, might I recommend the Zombie Escape mod?

Counter-Strike is probably the least mindless shooter you can pick for PC imo. Iām staying out of this Steam sale, been splurging too much and I donāt play games too much anymore sadly.
