Had another amazing comeback, almost exactly how my other one went so I won’t bother explaining. The game after though…
Why do I always get paired w/ horrible Muriel players?
The other team’s Muriel was doing their thing. Wasn’t great, but got those buffs up and made a pest of herself. Our Muriel always decided to try and pull off a split push in the middle of a fight.
Haven’t played this game yet, but speaking from MOBA XP…
If you have a good split pusher who can wave clear and escape, that can put enough pressure on the enemy team to take a man out of the fight, potentially giving you the advantage if there is a weakness in that comp that can be exploited. It’s the staple of MOBA play. If they only have one tank, you split push and force the tank out of the fight altogether. It’s what killed assassin junglers as a meta.
Muriel has almost all the tools to be a really good splitpusher, but she is almost never going to 1v1 anyone or even force someone out of lane (she scales really badly with damage stats and her base values are pretty poor) so rather than send the tank to defend they can just send their weakest damage dealer to hold her off and pick up farm.
That and she’s so much better in a teamfight that it’s a liability to have her splitpushing if the opposing team’s Muriel is teamfighting. Maybe things will get better once ranked draft is added, but the game needs more than 15 heroes first lol.
Though… maybe 2-man splitpushing could become a thing. This game is wacky enough for it to happen.
This. Muriel is so valuable in team fights, that a team can’t afford for her to be somewhere else. That’s exactly the point - especially when the other squad has a Muriel as well.
Epic has stated they add a new character every 3 weeks, so we should expect at least a teaser for the next sooner than later. They’ve held to that schedule so far w/ Sevarog and Iggy & Scorch. Hopefully within the first year of official launch, there will be enough characters to have a draft to avoid mirroring characters.
I don’t understand how people can be so retarded. Why do you keep diving 5 people alone and over extend constantly? Why do you all pile into one lane and let them split push for free? Why do you constantly fight pointless battles when you can bebsecuring xp? I hate people. This game is a chore to play if you play any role other than ADC.
Never was into MOBA games, but this one looks interesting to me. Not to mention I finally threw cash into the PC Master Race (1200 dollar build). I’ll probably give this a try when the final parts to my PC arrive on Monday.
Don’t think I’m playing this weekend for the second stress test - I don’t think I can take the newbies for another round. I understand they’re learning the game, but the lack of logic during games was just infuriating.
New character announcement should be leaking soon.
I don’t mind em, as long as when they see “Defend ___ lane” THAT DOESNT MEAN ALL OF YOU FUCKING RETARDS GO TO THAT ONE LANE WHILE THE OTHER TWO GET COMPLETELY FUCKING OVERRUN!
Other than that I really like it. Trying to get a good deck for Gideon & learn Sevarog
Idk if I agree with bans. I’ve been in games where guys purposely lose/troll & won’t ever surrender (surrender should be 3 of 5 imo)
Leaving & getting penalized for a couple minutes is what I think would be the obvious choice. Probably the one thing I don’t like about Mobas now that I’m in love with Paragon.
That’s how bad afk/leaving is currently though. You got a bunch of folks who throw temper tantrums 5mins into the game and just quit. I’m glad Epic is taking this stand in alpha and not waiting until the game is live for 3 months.
