Looks Pandora mode is gonna actually take skill to use.

They test out Pandora at around 1:30, and does the gauge look like it RECOVERS?

Nice find, looks like training mode, or something, just testing out the systems
and looks like abels got a new shoulder barge move which can be seen around the 5:20 mark

There’s more SFxT vids in his channel, will watch them tomorrow to see if the gauge recovers in normal matches.

When in Pandora mode you do get infinite meter but it’s in refill mode…

Seems like Pandora doesn’t heal you. I really wonder what kind of - if any - uses will it have?

On a completely side note, Cross Assault drains meter absurdly fast. Me likes.

Another thing about Pandora mode is that it seems like it does not give infinite meter, and it only adds the total amount of life left.

Activate Pandora to sacrifice your partner for infinite meter.
Use your infinite meter to activate cross assault and call in your once KO’d partner.
Sacrifice this partner to refill your Pandora.
Repeat for infinite Pandora.

Sounds to me like the main use for Pandora will be easy punishes, as opposed to the theory that it could be used in combos for easy 100% damage hit-confirmable combos.

Unless we find out that there are Pandora specific combos. Remember, we saw Rolento hit Patriot Circles into s.H, but only in Pandora mode so far.

It’s nice that Pandora does not equal to free damage at all, but seriously tho, why making the system in the first place? Why take the risk of it breaking the game?

No comeback mechanic is fine Capcom, you can do it.

The more I learn about Pandora activation and try to imagine how I would use it, the more useless it seems. And…I am OK with this. Please let this stay as a random feature strictly to sell the game to casuals because it looks cool.

On the BAM stream just then, they mentioned if you timeout with Pandora you’re treated as if you have no life.
They’re showcasing UMvC3 right not, with Cross Tekken straight after.

Also from the BAM stream, whenever Pandora runs out, you lose. Period.
Cinematic attacks are bad during Pandora precisely for this reason, because it pointlessly drains the timer. Even if you KO them during a cinematic, Pandora will still tick untill the cinematic is over and if it runs out during the cinematic you lose regardless if you KO’d them in time or not.

Whats up forum. I just wanted to share my thoughts on the pandora feature. Ive been lucky enough to play the game last summer at the fight club in NYC but the pandora feature wasnt available at that time but heres what i think of it so far. These are just my personal feelings.

The pandora mode should be tweaked a bit better. I like it and its different and its a cool risky gamble but at least do something with that “death timer”. All of us hardcore SF fans been in cerebral matches where one of the apponents may run down the clock if both of you are at the last round, the clock says “25” and one of you have a bit lower health than the other so its either a spamming session or a running session. That will be the same deal here but worse. Spam the person down whos in pandora and run run run,spam until they just flop over and die instantly. Nah no bueno. I rather the pandora clock just extinquish after a certain time and then you just have no more power to use (kind of like guilty gear with the destroyer meter). Once you screw up on not using it effectively you can no longer use pandora (of course) or any super power at all for that roun. And of course youve changed back to normal but with very low critcal health. Not just completely die like that of some heart attack because you didnt get chance to finish the apponent off. Its pretty corney honestly.

Again i am a fan of the game and i support it majorly but those factors i mentioned i hope are tweaked because those are major issues to me i see with this game already IMO. Pandora ill probably hardly use (unless my apponent uses theirs). Its easy to make comebacks just with tag in saves alone already from what ive experienced playing. Well, that is unless capcom nerfs that down since its very easy to tag your partner in for a save at will.

No. As many players (including guys like UltraDavid) have said, if the game is going to have a comeback mechanic (Pandora), then is should be useless.

well I can see panadora getting some kinda a boost maybe in the next build since people isnt really gonna use it or find it useful if they are low on life,I like it the way it is but we all remember when xfactor wasnt a big deal

The only adjustments I’d like to see made to Pandora is: Making so that if a PM-character kills a victim in the middle of a super cutscene, they get the win; and adding 2 seconds MAX to the timer.

It really sounds like it’s int he place it needs to be, a risky tool, not the core of the game.
