If you don’t have a volt meter, the easiest thing to do with a pad that hasn’t been posted here is solder a wire to both contacts for one button. From those two wires you can figure out everything else on the pad through trial and error.
Since you told me to check in this thread for answers about my question man I just wanted to let you know that I couldn’t find answers so PLEASE HELP ME:pray:, I want to know if anyone can show me how to put P360 while using a curcit board from a DC pad. I got box made I just need help with the wiring any help from you guys will be really helpfull Thanks in advance.
Has anyone wired a PS3 pad yet or know where I can get a good idea of where I need to wire?
Read the whole entire thread tonight, and didn’t find an answer to my question:
I’m having the problem mentioned above. However, the solution I have in mind is removing th analog sticks altogether from the pcb. Normally, I’d try it out on my own without asking about it beforehand, since I’m pretty confident about resoldering and such, but I just want to know is whether or not this will brick the controller or if it’s just not feasible? Will it be like removing the shoulder buttons?

Exact same thing as above. If you remove them outright, the analog stick will be wonky, usually showing it jammed into a corner. If you replace them so there are two resistors for each pot (a total of four resistors for each analog stick), they wont be wonky and the console with think the stick is in neutral.
Yeah I’m thinking about moddin my Wii stick to play on my PS2.
I just have a few questions.
#1 When modding a PCB do you have the original Controller Cord with it (Example if I inserted a PS2 PCB would I still have the plug for the Dual Shock Controller)?
#2 What tools do I need.
#3 Is there anybody willing to link me or tell me step by step what I need to do?
Sorry I’m not sure if this is the right thread or not and I’m sure someones like “Dencore you’re a fucking idiot!”. But I don’t know where to put this stuff because I don’t know the terms and what not.
Did you check the first post in this thread? It has a picture of where to solder on the board. There are in-depth soldering guides in the stickies.
GUYS I THINK THAT I AM THE LUCKIEST GUY OUT THERE!!!
i just bought two original, mint condition, (SONY) PS 1 controlers, BRAND NEW!!! never touched. for $30 dollars!!!:lovin::lovin::lovin:
Does anyone know off hand if the Classic controller for the Wii have a universal ground?
Has anyone ever hacked a FS3 ps3 pcb?
I got it all-hacked but strangely enough the directions wont work with sanwa pcb.
Buttons work perfectly
its 8-way job, so each direction has individual ground
The weird thing is that once I wire up one direction for instance “left” it will work perfectly no problems, but the instance I wire up “right” it stops working alltogether.
but when testing all directions individually they work perfectly when touching ground & input wire’s together! really odd?
any suggestions?
The rumble motors from the ps1 dualshock can be removed? Should I cut the wires ou desoldered them?
i was jus wondering if the namco ps1 stick had the same wiring as that of an old ps1 pad as my stick has started acting up and its pretty obvious its due to the wiring as the down input no long come out and ive noticed this happened same time as the wiring being exposed due to the rubber cracking outside the casing and i was hoping if i could jus rewire the stick with an old ps1 pad
Well, as per the instructions of this forum, i purchased a multimeter to finish my project (Saturn+ps2 stick). I am looking for the +5 line of my saturn. I already found the common ground.
NOW here is how I use the multimeter, tell me if I am doing something wrong
-
Plug the controller into the saturn and turn the saturn on
-
Put the ground on the ground and put the red probe on the suspected +5 volts
Now when I do this… I get NOWHERE! I find a total of 4!! that’s right 4!!! places where it reads close to +5v, i have seen +4.96 and +5.06. Does anyone have any suggestions for me… hjwere is another pic for clarification

Edit;
I got it working!!!
I used previous findingds (from the saturn to 360 conversion DIY at hackaday) to find out where the ground and 5v wires were (hint they are neither black nor red!) And then confirmed the soldering points using my multimeters continuinity feature… I will post solder points later on on joystick vault…
Now… Onto the dreamcast mod!
whats the best ps1 controller to use? sorry if it sounds noob… this is my first homebuild
a ps1 ds H series. if you cant solder go with ps1 ds A series.
but always first party =)
how do i know if its an h series? pic please?
it says it on the back…
damn I feel like a noob :wonder:
another noob question… do they sticks or no?
do what stick?
