Help! First post here. I am trying to make a very simple Sega Genesis 3 button pad hacked arcade stick. Problem is, I don’t know where the common ground is on the PCB! My particular controller is not featured on the Slagcoin tutorial. Can anyone help show me where the common ground is?
You should be able to access the common ground point anywhere that the thick band of light green connects to around the PCB, but feel free to confirm it with a multimeter. I highlighted some easier spots here:
Thank you! I will try it here shortly!
Hello. I notice the first comment has all the treasure maps of pad hacking, and more are added as they are found
This is my contribution:
Found this googling various synonymous terms to eventually get to a 3DO padhack treasure map:
Here’s the link:
Now you can have a 2 player Street Fighter 2 Grand Master Challenge match with this direct 3DO padhack, both with custom fight sticks. the multiconsole fight PCBs have it ONLY if the Last player in the chain (or only player)
Mods please move this to the front.
I’ll go screencap it now and repost with a pi. 5 minutes from now.
Hello, just wondering if someone can Sticky the last post on the treasure map of a Panasonic 3DO. Which should allow multi project-box gaming, like Head to Head Street Fighter Grand Master Challenge with 2 custom joysticks. In the meantime. Going to the top and looking at Sega Genesis 6 button treasure map before I go get it repaired.
Again thanks for the treasure map. If the editors find it worthy, put the 3DO in the first post sticky.
Innext Snes USB pad. Got two of them for $7.
Edit/Update:
Meh, I just ended up using the test point that UP and Right share as a separate ground. For future reference, all buttons, Down and Left use the same ground.
