On another note, Fullmetal brotherhood got alot better. I take back what i said before. its better than the original in alot of ways but i still like the way some things were resolved and discovered in the original better.

Hohenheim’s clone fused with God. Shit doesn’t get better than that. Only Hohenheim and his 1000-years-in-the-making plan can save us now.
Brotherhood does some stuff differently, and I don’t agree with every pacing decision they make (you get the odd feeling that for once a shonen anime is moving too fast!), but all in all I don’t really consider it any better or worse than the first FMA anime. It’s an apples-and-oranges thing and I like the way both were handled.
Still, it’s hard not to miss some of the crazy (but somehow genius) hat-tricks the first anime pulled off when it started running ahead of the manga. My favorites include:

Crazy upside-down chimera Tucker. Because you couldn’t get enough of his creepiness the first time, now he’s upside-down on the back of a bear or some shit! Hilarity ensues.

Scar’s last stand, where he somehow drops a dude off a roof despite having no arms. (You never actually see him do it, but that’s the implication you get.) Now THAT’S badass.

Lust’s alliance with Ed and Al to fight Wrath and Sloth. Was kinda disappointing to see how she ended up in the manga.

The final villain they invented for the anime, turning Yoki’s cute little flunky into the vessel for Hohenheim’s clingy immortal ex-girlfriend. I thought that was a particularly genius bit of recycling.

Bringing the two imposters from the annoying filler episode back in the final few episodes to actually move the plot along. Even the fucking useless get to be useful in FMA!

Oh, and can’t forget Robo-Archer. Shit was so awesomely absurd that I couldn’t really get mad at what a dumb twist that was.
Still, I kinda like how in the manga and Brotherhood they let Dr. Marcoh and Yoki live to be buddies with Scar. They get some real badass moments later on in the series. (Yes, even Yoki.)[/details]
