Which is equivalent to winning a “Dan only invitational”, at the end of the day it means nothing lol…
I’m Jebailey, I know EVERYTHING.
Besides I don’t need to counterpick your character in the game. I’m a counterpick to you.
Jebailey who do you use?
Sorry John, but if you’re gonna talk THIS much shit, I’M gonna root for Jebailey.
That is, when I’m not rooting for my own brother, who I might bring to the AFO tournament to start his own feeding frenzy among the rabble in the brackets. He’s playing a top-tier character for once in a game he not only likes and understands but PRACTICES, so I’m actually kind of eager to see how many people he can sweep.
As for myself, I’ll probably be behind a bit on BBCS practice for the first couple weeks while I actually go gasp into the lab to practice SSF4 with my own delicious, scrubby TOP TIER character. You heard it hear first, I’m coming to Hooters HUNGRY, not for mere wings but for VICTORY. And that’s all I’m gonna say on the shit-talk subject.
As for “secret weapons”:
Jebailey’s picking Tager. Nothing else makes sense given his playstyle and his relative inexperience with BlazBlue. He’s planning to Jebait the hell out of people with Tager’s 720, and knowing Jebailey, he’ll probably succeed against most of the people he’ll play.
John is picking…I wanna say Litchi, because she’s the most powerful character in the game you can get with an execution barrier high enough for his liking. There’s no way he’d lower himself to playing Bang or anyone else that brain-dead. My second guess would probably be Carl because of his similar emphasis on homework. I don’t think even John’s masochistic enough to pick Rachel or Tsubaki.
Jebailey, have you or anybody else been able to talk any sense into the people running the AFO tournaments? The rules page still only specifies personal sticks for finals only. I’m kinda tempted to hit it up, but if it’s really Xbox pads up until winner’s/loser’s finals, I’m gonna pass. I did 360 pad Bison first week of vanilla (whaddup Gamestop tourney), and that was quite enough for me.
Good analysis Ben lol
I just spoke to Buck the man in charge of the Finals Room. He’ll make sure we can use sticks from beginning to end if the man in the game room doesn’t allow it. So no worries on that front. He’ll probably be posting in this room from now on to get noticed for any future events. Buck is a good guy and trust worthy. But con tourneys are not like stand alone tourneys, so don’t expect to win big bucks lol. It’ll just be fun.
And I can’t reveal my character in BBCS just yet. I wanna make John Sweat.
But thanks Ben, I’ll try me some Tager now :).
I’ve already emailed Paul who’s in Charge of the Stinkpit… errr Gameroom this year. I’ll Pull Rank if I have to, but It’ll happen my way!
Thanx bro!!
Good lookout, Buck. I’ll definitely roll through if sticks are a go.
Jebailey: You would probably like Tager, actually; you can learn most of his best combos in the space of a week and spend the rest of your time trolling the hell out of people.
He has no long air juggles to speak of – pretty much all of his stuff is ground hit-confirms, OTGs, resets, and big-ass single-move juggles. Learn his BnBs and how to set up Gadget Finger OTG (resets and magnetizes the opponent so they’re ready for a nasty guessing game), and you can spend the rest of the week trolling people online with frame traps and buffers into 720. (You can probably kill 75% of the players in Orlando just with blocked B Sledge and alternating jab ticks into 360+B or 720.)
Only downside is that he’s slow as balls and a huge target for crossups. But he’s got massive comeback power in the clutch simply because of the retarded damage he can get off single baits, so I figured that part of the character would catch your interest.
EDIT: For the BBCS people:

Dora is a DICK. See, THIS is why I hated fighting Bang more than Nu with Tager.
By that logic, winning EVO or Tougeki means nothing to anyone who isn’t involved in competitive gaming. One step at a time.
It’s not like I’m being that serious, but okay. I’m not dreadfully serious all the time when I do talk shit, as infrequently as I do. No need to treat it as such. Besides, Jebailey beats me all the time anyway. I’d be happy to play him in a game that’s not necessarily a free win for him, and I’m going to practice to make sure that doesn’t happen here. If he wins, then he earned it. But I intend to make him work for it.
STOP BEING SO NICE IT SUCKS THE FUN OUT OF IT!!!
also jebailey do yourself a favor and save yourself a lot of headaches and don’t play tager. People will zone the fuck out of you and 90% of your matchups will just be annoying…
Sledge is all well and good ben except for the characters most people will be playing don’t zone with projectiles so they can stuff him fairly easily.
I like this BBCS talk…
Hey, I’m on salt watch! I have to be nice or every Atlantic South forum within 200 miles will converge on me, lol.
Level|Up Stream is playing BB:CS…Hazama looks so godlike I want to play this game just to pick him up as a main and use the hookshot of awesome xx air combo madness…

R-1 is my hero~
And so is Cristina Vee~

Kaqn has always been my favorite player to watch for BB in general. This is probably the most famous BB:CS match on YouTube right now; one of Japan’s best Ragna players versus damn near the only Noel. The R-1 loops are lulz.
Don’t worry John, it’ll be fun for me to have a new challenge.
Ben, thanks for all the great tips but Tager is definitely not a character for me, I’m definitely not a big and powerful slow ass character kinda guy. Watched his videos on the Tube, and even though he won a ton of matches after being comboed to death, I’d get real bored.
Is there an Eddy Type Character in BBCS, I used Eddy when I actually played GG back in the day.
I like someone with rush downs, traps, Keep aways and non stop attacks aka kamikaze style.
But I’ll be honest, I still think in a few months this will be a repeat of the First BB and it’ll drop off. Only time will tell.
Fixed. Your best bet is using Arakune. Props on using Eddie though he is hella gangsta
If you want info about Arakune, talk to Senkei, he can tell you what’s really good.
Main thing to remember about Arakune is he’s even more of a slow starter than Eddie – until he gets curse, he’s pretty much the worst character in the game.
But when he DOES finally get a curse going (doesn’t take that long if you’re careful and learn how to use the different types of curse cloud and make people blunder into them), he turns into the BEST character in the game, by FAR.
When that happens, you basically fill the screen with bugs and people die a horrible miserable death (or spend a VERY long time blocking). Your main objective as Arakune is to stay alive until you get curse and then rip people apart while the curse is active.
If you want a trap/keepaway character who’s a bit more consistent, you can try Lambda-11 (formerly known as Nu-13). She has less tricky escape options than Arakune, but as soon as you get spacing you can start slinging swords around and control the match much more effectively at all times. She just doesn’t have the absolutely retarded damage output Arakune has when he finally gets a curse (they NERFED Arakune for BBCS and he can STILL do 80% damage combos off of very practical setups in curse mode).
Stay away from Rachel. They nerfed the SHIT out of her; she used to have some really nice traps but pretty much all her damage is gone now. Forget about pressure, you’ll spend most of your time running for your goddamn life, and unlike Arakune you can’t come back from out of nowhere to shred someone’s lifebar with zillions of bugs.
When in doubt, if you want a character who can do a little of everything, I recommend Bang. His combos are barely more cerebral than Tager’s, his offensive pressure is very good, he has a number of ways to get out of traps/pressure thanks to his autoguard teleports, and he has an extremely annoying theme song that you can troll people with by activating his Fuurinkazan mode (where he glows yellow and loses the ability to block in exchange for basically turning into Magneto…8-way air dash and all).
Honestly guys, thank you so much for all the tips and advice, I really appreciate it.
Are Nestor and Carlos hosting tonight, I’m grabbing Dinner tonight in the UCF area so I’ll come by to anyone that is hosting. Let me know.
Oh And also. I bought a new 22 inch TV For tournaments, it’s coming in the mail today. It’s a nobody brand Viero but I’ll bring it tonight to test it. So if anyone wants to bring an Extra Xbox to set it up Let me know. I wanna check for lag and see if I should order more. 189 bucks a pop, HDMI, component, Speakers the works.
