Somewhat accurate with the exception of the only place to have a scene were Texas and Canada. New York, Cali, Europe, Japan, China all had a huge scene in 3s. And this is how it went for the big 3 back in the day.
- Florida hated 3s because they thought it was rock paper scissors until they started traveling and seeing that Cali, Texas, new york, and japan were playing that shit religiously, 3s was slept on for years, and didn’t blowup nationwide until a few literations in, ie 3rd strike. CVS2 was bumping from day one but died out a year or so before 3s. In the end they lasted about the same time stateside. Marvel is Americas game, cause the japs suck so bad at it, they get stomped trying to use anakaris lol. And honestly 3s was hella before it’s time it ook some years for niggas to catch up and they finally did. Obviously japan loved 3rd strike and super turbo and that’s why we have sf4, the dumbed down, watered down, gears of war character inspired red headed step cousin that Americans can understand : D.

Regardless of what Alex says BB:CS is going to have it’s own draw(12-15ppl in Kissimme alone lol). It’s a different genre of fighter completely so if you wanna play it then have fun and play the shit!
It’s just another thing we can brag to the rest of FL on how good we are. Only difference is we will be placing high in majors and Tampa won’t beat us

Even though I said don’t bother with BBCS lol I was the one who did say it won’t be until at least 2012 before SFxT so I called that right. And Tekkenx SF will be created completely independently by Namco so we’ll see where the followings shift to.
I’d hold off until Sunday before playing BBCS at least until AFTER the hooters tournament if you still care for Super.
But yes I will host BBCS tourneys.
Animefestivalorlando.com is actually having a super and BBCs tourney which is August 5th-8th, but here’s the bad parts. They are both single elimination and you have to PAY the 35 dollar saturday door fee to play lol. But top 8 move on to the Theatre room where like 100 people will watch on a big screen, and it’s free to enter. Just another con that doesn’t respect true Fighting game tournaments. BUt I was going regardless so I’ll enter.
Also the final 8 let you use your own TE stick, but the regular rounds before you have to use a Pad lol. I’m telling them to change that.
Anyways I’ll support BBCS, only problem is I have all Xboxs so that would complicate things since Super will always be on Xbox at my events. If you guys think PS3 is better suited and can help with supplying systems at the events then It has my full support.
I’ll also include it at CEO 2011 if you guys don’t get bored of it.
