they are probably waiting that long cause people arent gonna be impressed by the leap between this generation and next generation. unless they come up with something big. I mean once it looks real, your kinda at your limit.

I don’t see why the lifespan can’t be 10 years, and I mean 10 years from release date not 10 years from now. I don’t believe the PS3 has been fully tapped in to what it’s capable of doing. How many developers have actually used the entire space on a Blue Ray disc? The possibilities is still endless. Games are still being released at 720 resolution. I don’t see a need to rush out another console. Then we’ll get a bunch of mediocre games for 2/3 years before we get anything solid, which has been the same routine for every new console release. That is why I waited 3 years before I bought a PS3.
And who buys a cell phone every year? You guys have money to waste, I’m still rocking my 3GS for the past 2+ years, and don’t plan to buy another phone til 2012. Computers are different because you can just upgrade the parts to keep it current. Maybe they should do that for consoles. I would much rather spend $200 on a chip or graphics card to upgrade it then spend another $500 for a new one.
Josh, teach me this game which I neither own (yet) nor understand. The novelty has yet to wear off for me.

And on a very very sad note and I’m only posting this because some of you were aware and sent me your prayers. My aunt Delal in Lebanon Passed away this morning from Cancer. Quite a few of my childhood summers in Lebanon were spent in her house and she was a big influence on my life in lots of way growing up over there. So yeah, you know the drill, cherish life guys and the families we have.

Now’s a good time to introduce myself as I’ve been in the shadows of the community for awhile. So as it stands, I should be moving to Orlando permenantly by the Summer to attend UCF. I’ve been in Otown off and on for the past three years as some of my homeboys live there. I’m stationed at Patrick AFB, in Cocoa Beach but live in SC. Don’t confuse yourselfs. :lol: Anyway, I’ll be coming down tomorrow night and will be in Florida til May 11. I’d be down to meet some of you all in the community finally. I’m a very solid Tekken player with Jin and Lars and I am in the works of getting solid at MK with Noob. I play SSF4 casually using Gouken, but will probably take it serious with the release of Oni. As for MvC3, that games broken. And I’ll stop there before I write an autobiography. If any gatherings are happening within the time of my visit, I’d appreciate an invite.

jk i’m still trying to figure out how to approach people in this game. the footsies are weird, my brother plays really lame in this game lol. Just crouch blocks and waits for me to do ANYTHING. I can still beat him most of hte time but my god is that play style lame, not being able to cross people up has me befuddled, combine that with both my characters have fairly slow obvious overheads and it’s lookin like i’ll be free in this game for a spell.
