The MK9 demo guide for SF players at the top of the page is actually pretty insightful (albeit not w/o its flaws). When the game comes out, I’m gonna try to dig really deep into the engine/game mechanics.

@Broken Loose – here’s hoping that’ll be resolved by the time the final release comes out. The demo was ready to roll out for several months before its release… so that’s a whole lot of time the devs had to work on shitty demo glitches.

WWE All Stars comes out next week (Tues March 29th)- I’m super stoked. It’s getting compared to Nintendo 64’s No Mercy (imo the greatest wrestling game ever, and I’ve played a majority of them):

Not taking sides here, but I do have a question. Sentinel Drones protect wolverine to get in, but how does wolverine protect Sentinel?

His speed helps protect him on call out. Rarely do i attempt to call him out when i’m being rushed down, that’s a poor decision unless you are calling tron or haggar for the gtfo me factor. Called intelligently it’s very effective for covering wolverine.

tldr version: sent assist is too slow and relatively easy to punish

i talked with you about this last night but i suppose i should reiterate it here. I never said it was the BEST assist for this team but saying it’s worthless is rather stupid…

Sent drones are good for mixups, after knockdown. If you use Sent drones as a way to get in your opponent can usually hit Sent before the drones can even reach them. With this new nerf you have to be even more careful of when you call Sentinel or you will lose him before he can even become an anchor.

Yes but it also works extremely well for covering him if utilized at the correct time. I’m not calling him if they are in my face, as i stated earlier you can’t do that with hardly any assists. RE: his health nerf, it’s funny you should mention given that our debate originated prior to the patch so variables have changed. It’s a lot more risky to call him now I will give you that but it’s still worth while and can still give wolverine plenty of opportunities. I understand what you are saying and I agree with you that they work well after a knockdown but if i’m full screen with wolvie sent drones cover a good portion of the screen which limits my opponents options making it easier for wolverine to get in and work a mix up. To say they don’t is just outright ignorant.

Haha, actually hoping to get a PS3 today… but might just order it online so I can get Killzone 3 for free as part of the package. Haven’t touched the demo yet I’m doing my best to pretending that it doesn’t exist so as not to get upset about it lol. I’ll almost certainly be a pad MK warrior though.
