FRXIV was an absolute blast. I scrubbed out in singles pools, but I don’t really care because I had an absolute blast in MvC3 teams. Nix did serious work for us, and I intend to bust ass on Marvel 3 to repay the favor and shoulder my own weight. We’re getting back on that stream next year and we’re gonna troll the HELL out of the stream monsters. Team Whatever WILL RETURN. :bgrin:
Seriously, for my first time ever on the stream of a major (at the, uh, first major I ever attended), I’m astounded by how far we all got. My brother and Nix both did well, but I’m pleasantly surprised that none of us, including myself, got R. Kelly’d by Marn.
Fuck downtown Atlanta for having like TWO fucking Peachtree Streets within a block of each other. But we got Gladys Knight’s without incident, so it’s all good.
So nice to be at an event where people actually play KOF…maybe I should float a setup at CEO and see what happens.
Marshall, we gotta play some KOF sometime, man. You said one of the characters you play is Nameless, and that suggests to me that you can actually play KOF. :bgrin:

Really appreciate that man and I definitely enjoyed it as well, for some reason I actually enjoy fighting Sagat because to me it’s like a Chess Match that takes patience. I am Mexican at heart. Growing up, I actually played a lot more KOF casually than I ever did Street Fighter. Somebody has to be the poor intrepid white guy trying to play KOF, and it might as well be me. And it’s not even that hard to learn; by the end I was actually getting matches on people who OCV’ed my ass the first time I sat down. I just gotta make this a regular thing so that my execution and my spacing knowledge stays sharp.
But seriously, Jazz, John, I’ll start hauling my 360 around so we can play 2k2 UM at a Jebailey game night or something. I wanna see what you guys can do in this game. Could really use some local training partners on call for next Final Round because netplay is so ass in 2k2 UM.
The Perspective angle is cool to show off the 3D but thats it. it leans on the gimmick side for that feature. and doing 3P or 3K almost requires the use of the touchscreen shortcuts. And im hearing the Dpad is shitty.
I’m not a 3ds hater. its just stuff I heard. launch is alil weak other than SF3D. I think I’ll save my money for the behemoth Sony NGP that will prolly cost $400.
I’m poor as hell but I’m looking at getting one for the Resident Evil Mercenaries game they’re making for it. Sure it’s RE5 Mercenaries with RE4 characters (so far…hopefully we get some more in there…I want to style on zombies as Ashley in the suit of armor…), but I love Mercenaries. I’ll back off if they announce a new Mercenaries game for big-boy consoles, though.
Mercenaries is one of the best bonus modes of the RE series. RE4 was prolly the best with it. Tho RE3 felt alil more tense cuz your got crazy bonus time for last second dodges/eavsion and headshots. Fuck! im bout to boot up the PS3. Sounds like fun right about now. Really curious to see how the 3DS game comes out.
I’m serious, if it wasnt for Capcom, this launch would be a serious dud. Unless your into playing Ocarina or Starfox 64 a 10th time but in 3d.

You would think tournament organizers would know how to read a calender but apparently not. First Revelations schedules the same weekend as CEO, then ECT schedules the same weekend as MWC and now MLG schedules one of their events the same weekend as EVO. There should really be more communication between major tournament organizers.
