beastSPL, I just wanna say first off that that is a SICK wiring job! I love what you did with the 5 pin connector solution. Did you steal that connector from a Mad Catz joystick by any chance? It sure looks like it!
But ack! I literally cringed when I read that you filed down the solder points. BAD IDEA man! That definitely put some cracks in the solder. It would’ve been ideal if you went by and removed the excess with a soldering iron truth be told, but what’s done is done, right? :lol:
How you liking the optical goodness?
so i’m in the market for an optical at the moment as well. has anyone been able to do a MC Cthulhu + 360 via RJ45 and have their optical operate succesfully on all available systems? (PS1/2/3, Gamecube, Xbox/360 & S/NES)
That’s the setup I have now, but I don’t have a ps2 or s/nes.

Yea I took the 5-pin from a madcatz pcb … I like to keep things interchangable and in the event that I sell anything I can return it back to stock in a matter of minutes. I did my cherry switches the same way. And about filing down solder … I didn’t know that it could crack and it’s mentally noted!
I love the optical response and it’s quiet! Feels great!
Its ok Beast if u didnt put force and u were gentle while scrapping the metal off u will be while. It takes lot to crack those babies up. I have done 2 on my opticals and everything went smooth…
wico p360?
i wanted to ask here, do i have a wico p360? i have 2 p360 sticks both of them have nothing written on teh bottom, just “360”. ikagi says in the first post that nothing should mean wico but i figrued i ask to make sure.
edit: forgot to add that these sticks were purchased sometime in 2000-2002
How much are each of these worth in the US market? I’m thinking about getting rid of a couple of these ASCII sticks. :wonder:
I’ve seen anywhere between 140~160.00USD shipped depending on how complete they are … With box, condition, cards… Etc etc.
I’m pretty sure that those are WICO Perfect 360s. WICO couldn’t have stopped producing optics until like 2003-2004 since Sanwa didn’t discontinue the FLASH 1 until around then. Then again, I don’t know how much my information helps you since I was the one you cited as saying it would be a WICO. :lol:
