Glitches? In my video game?
Unfathomable.
This game would be way better if Magneto was able to do an unblockable one hit kill on Sentinel.
Yeah, damn glitches to hell, it’s not like they can be patched and stuff.
Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fallout Edition
I think the only you right now
IS PROBLEM
I want to break up the word ‘real’ for him.
Games that focus around offensive play
that don’t have an imbalanced comeback crutch
that have don’t an extreme tier distribution (CS2 has a reasonable top tier in relation to the bottom tier I believe.)
MvC2 isn’t a real fighting game.
You know the difference between x-factor and super? You don’t have to bait x-factor to make it go away.
why are we all surprised when one of us finds bugs/glitches/infinites when 1. we have youtube 2. we have a lot of fighting games 3. we are connected to the whole world
it’s like “how dare a game that has millions of highly experienced players/observers find out tricks, how dare capcom”
Oh Blazblue and Arcana Heart. You mean the games where 6 people actually play them and 5000 pretend to play them?
Lmao.
then why dont you just go away
its ok you play on xbox we dont expect you to know what a real fighting game community is.
^^ You gonna get banned.

I still don’t get what the big deal is. You don’t like the game, which is your perogative, don’t play it. There are enough alternatives to keep you happy, I would say. I seriously doubt that everything about this game has already been found out and strategies to deal with “cheap” tactics like X-factor, or anything else that people whine about at the moment, will be developed over time.
So, Desk found some glitches? Should I now instantly dislike the game? It’s not like MvC3 is the first game with several glitches after release. Will Capcom patch this? If it messes up the game too much, they will.
Should I hate the game because it is noob-friendly? Is it such a bad thing Capcom wants to attract more players and doesn’t want to scare them off with a steep learning curve? If a “difficult” game is what you’re after, then why not play something else, like Blazblue, if that’s you’re cup of tea.
Bottom line: Nobody is forcing you to play or enjoy this game. If this game doesn’t offer you the enjoyment MvC2 did, why not just keep playing that?
I don’t think you understand how popular the old capcom fighting games were, it had nothing to do with ease of play
I think I understand how popular they were, what I don’t understand is that if you don’t like the new one, why put yourself through the aggravation playing it? If you have a problem with the game design and there are games out there that do have the design and game mechanics you’re looking for, why not just play those and leave this game to the people that enjoy it.
Some people indicate they enjoy the game and they get called Capcom fanboys, or - defenders.
I can understand some people are disappointed with the game, but I don’t understand all the bitching and moaning. You don’t like it? Fine. Move on.
For some reason everyone who makes a post like this glosses over the fact that there was an mvc2. that might be because you didn’t play it. when a sequel is announced, expectations on the part of current edition players are high. they want a tweaked version of the game they love with fancy graphics and sound. when it comes to innovation most likely they’d prefer a different cast with the favorites returning as opposed to a system-wide overhaul.
when you get good at a game it’s disappointing to see the next game in the series break away and change the formula.
as for learning curve that’s not really the point. i don’t think you really understand what you’re talking about with respect to this. it’s like when people say 3S is a technical game. lol, yeah ok. it’s less immediately technical than sf4 which is ‘noob friendly’. it just scales evenly up to very precisely timed combos only possible with a good chunk of practice/experience.
that’s apparently unpopular because it means you’ll be awful at the game for a very long time before you can even challenge people who know what they’re doing. currently people want to do everything immediately and have no real interest in system mastery or the personal achievement of being considered ‘solid’ or maybe even ‘good’. they don’t want to suck, there’s no dedication anymore.
my prediction, this renaissance of fighting games will be a bubble. it will grow until saturation and then implode and we’ll see marked drop offs in site and event attendance. srk i’m betting only had the money/time to be redone because of money produced by essentially casual players with no real driving interest. so when things start to slow down and capcom feels unsafe continuing this constant stream of fighting games this community will shrink to it’s former size.
btw, i didnt realize this was a nominated article thread until like yesterday. really have to lol at that. whoever is in charge of ok’ing them at the moment needs to do a better job screening things because this thread is a joke to 90% of the people in it.
I am guilty as charged, I didn’t play MvC2 that much. However, I played SFII in its many forms both in the arcade (when we still had a few) and on the consoles, just like I played SNK fighting games, Mortal Kombat, Virtua Fighter, Tekken and others, so I guess I do have at least some idea what I’m talking about.
As I said, I understand that some people might be disappointed in the game, because their favourite character isn’t in, they have added or removed certain game-play elements, or maybe just because their expectations were so high, no game could have lived up to that, I really do.
Once again, what I don’t understand is that some whine about x-factor being in, Sentinel being cheap, etc, etc, less than two weeks after a game has been released, while effective strategies are still being discovered. It is enough time to make up your mind about the game and move on. Why would you spend time on a forum to complain about a game you don’t like.
I have liked several games before of which I didn’t like the the sequel, because it didn’t live up to my expectations or they were just plain bad games. Guess what? I just moved on to something else or stuck to the older version. You want to let Capcom know you think their game sucks, don’t buy it, don’t play it. I’m just saying.
