I’ve honestly never noticed any difference in throw range with Hibiki in all this time I been playing her. Maki’s and Rolento’s throw ranges I do see a difference, but I think a lot of that is attributed to their fast walking speed also. Anyway, I’ve never tried to throw with Hibiki and felt that I been robbed.
Just do 3 shorts, jab, mp slash. Sagat can’t punish it. No speed trickery required.
yes to both.
Bad matches against Vega and Cammy, fighting Sakura isn’t all that fun either. Also has problems against P and K groove.
you guys arguing about eagle should just play each other / play the match ups against notable players who are good at their respective player. i mean saying stuff online is cheap … trying to argue stuff on paper doesn’t always work out … some extremely stupid example would be like geese owns ____ cause he can counter / or ____. i would definatley rather see some eagle vids (haven’t seen any besides his CCs) than read this shit on this thread.
I don’t know about punishing Eagle’s C.Forward with walk back MK scissor…not only is that insanely hard to do, it does open you up to get swept if the Eagle player sees that as your only option. I don’t see a real answer to eagle’s C.Forward other than RC Short Scissor, an even riskier RC Psycho Crusher or walk back then walk foward mixups. On the other hand, I don’t see Eagle having a real answer to well timed RC short scissors. And once Bison puts fear into eagle on the ground, it’s over, since thats really all he has.
What does Eagle even have over Bison other than C.Forward? S.Fierce gets punished by ANYTHING if wiffed(Psycho Crusher and Scissor kicks punish that shiet EASILY), C.Roundhouse is easily punished by Forward scissor kicks. Eagle can’t jump obviously…what else is there? Even at a stand still Bison wins since one hit leads to round over.
It’s also much too predictable to rely on walk in C.Forward the whole match (I say this based on Eagle has nothing else), even if it’s done smartly. Bison has very good walking speed and can kill you from one mistake, or even a lucky random hit…you can be as careful and clever as you want, and many times it still won’t matter against Bison.
Personally I would choose Yamazaki over Eagle in most match up’s, they fight very similarly…but Yama is just better rounded imo, then again I don’t use A Groove.
Ok cool, but I was just saying that if you can get the Sakura shit started(which is fairly practical) then why not go with it. I’m not saying to devote your meter on trying to setup some shit that you would have been better off not wasting your effort on, but IF and only IF you can get it started then do what you gotta’ do to kill off a character.
It gets really annoying when people make wrong judgements about what I post and missunderstand whatever I’m trying to say. That shit happens way too much.
i think it’s kind of hard for buk and popo to have a match since they live really far from each other. and i’m sure both buk and popo have already shown more than enough of their skills that they do know what they are talking about. i would definitly rather see some eagle vids, but i want to see some got maki vids too. can’t have it your way all the time.
even though i don’t use characters like A-bison, eagle, sak, cammy, etc…i still appreciate their discussion. i take into account of what they both say. both of them are correct(in general) for situationed matches and whatever happens in the match really depends on if the players know what they are doing. for example i never knew RC jab dp is useful for sakura. i never seen it used. letting players in my area know about this and having experiencing it first hand will help a lot.
i’ve been in certain situation where i do c.short whiff and try to throw them on wakeup, or dash and throw. and her s.rh comes out instead. i can really feel the difference since she does walk rather slow. adding that to her throw distance makes it seem harder to land her throws than other characters
Chip CC doesn’t do that much less damage than connected CC. Also, C-Sagat almost always has the ability to do big damage while K-Sagat needs to be raged.
true, but how many times have you pressed yourself out with sagat? just before that gaurdcrush you were able to make? K-sagat has run to back himself up, to keep him in…
anyway about the cc: It does way less damage, i mean, 3 hk = about how many thousand damage? all those hits with the dps are only 100 damage once you’re on hit 9… And chip is just 100 if im correct… =/
However I have to say: anyone who cna gaurdcrush and then hkx3 xx another shoshosho consistently has my respect =)
and buk: sorry, but i just had to say it X_x wont happen again…
all parties eh?.. your thread smells like pee because of all the eagle/terry discussion…
now to add something to the mix… after playing eagle a lot last night, i realized a few things… 1, you can jump on a lot of characters because his jumping rh and jumping forward have such good range and seem to beat a lot of stuff. So basically, vs. guile, if he throws a sonic boom you can jump and hit him or force him to block. Guiles anti-airs lose to eagles jump ins. Same with chun li, her sweep loses to both of eagles jump ins. If you are playing chun vs. eagle, the only things you can do besides block is to try to meet him in the air with jump fierce fierce, or walk under standing rh. eagle really doesn’t need to jump from the range where you would walk under rh anyways though so that doesn’t come in to play much unless you are bating the opponent into doing a lot of stuff. eagle low forward nullifys most of chun’s pokes and he can easily react to a fireball with a jump combo. anti air with c. fierce, eagle beats chun… i’m not sure if any of this was stated before cause there was too much bullshit on this thread. as far as other top tiers… i don’t think eagle beats sakura. it’s too hard to react to sakura whiffed standing rh with s. fierce unless they’re being really obvious with it, and sakura really doesn’t need to fear anythiing at the tip of her rh range anyways.
Ok, theres a man dressed as a woman outside the store… or maybe a really ugly woman so i lost my train of thought, i’ll post more maybe
i’m intereseted in this eagle vs. p cammy discussion. i personally do not think eagle beats p cammy with his footsies. cammy is mad offensive because of her st close fp and she can actually walk BACK and wait for u to throw something out. she can always stay outside of cr short range and mash on random buttons.
i just read my post and it sounds really scrubby, but i think ucrollerblader can back me up.
The setup and CC does a little more than 1/2 life. The finisher makes them dizzy and gives you a quarter of your meter. From there you do a few links to get your bar up a little then you connect to a lv.1 super. I’d say all that does more than her chip, because her chip only does around 1/2 bar.
no one has ever landed that combo in a real match. like most 100% combos, it’s combo video crap. the best players on earth dont try it because it’s ridiculous and risky.
I never said to rely on it like it was the best thing in the game. I was just saying that she has one and it’s fairly practical. I also never said that you should use it in a bigass important match. I think it’s best to use that kind of shit in small friendly exhibition matches at your local arcade.
