you guys are fucking idiots if you think juice is merely “average” he was 1 win from top 8, losing to sanford. He he beats other notable players like li joe, CONVINCINGLY. Yeah he won his spot from gamestop, but uh, it was still a 160+ man bracket after pools, so he still had to win a lot.

So anyway, chest thumping aside, I was watching Rico play yesterday, and I gotta say I was impressed, but there’s a huge flaw in Rico’s game.
Son doesn’t know how to chill… at all.
This really stood out in the Rico/Arturo matches. While it’s true that Abel is able to get in on Seth pretty well, it doesn’t mean that you should be trying to do that all day. In the end, Art was able to eek out the win against Rico, but really, Rico beat himself. He’d have huge leads, and just give them away. There were points when the leads were so big, that it didn’t make sense to do anything else but sit there. Instead, Rico would keep pressing, and play right into Art’s hands. Once Seth has Ultra, if you have a lead… hang out. No need to go in. By trying to keep up pressure, you make the Ultra incredibly easy to land, and that puts Abel in a bad spot. Easy mix-up, that leads back into itself… and Seth does high-stun… so what do you know… 1-2 mix-ups later… stun… dead.
Had Rico just stood there, Art was done. Seth can’t just come in on Abel free. He’d have lost just trying to get in to set up stuff. What could he have done, really?
Other than that, good shit. Rico, if you come down next week, I’ll show you how to play lame.

It’s just competition. Seems like people want to be the best. People want to be respected. I don’t think it’s really that serious.
For the record, vegita-x called JBA average… he doesn’t use Abel. He uses Gief (I find it funny, btw, that a Gief player is rating Abel’s. Hopefully he’s playing some other matches besides Gief/Abel when trying to evaluate, because that’s not really a good fight to go by. But yeah… It’s only natural that people want to be regarded as the best. Sometimes that comes across in silly ways. I have my own personal opinions of everybody I watch. I don’t feel the need to make it public, in most cases, especially relative to myself. I never feel it’s necessary to say “I am better than X”, unless I’m explicitly asked… Like Rico asked me the other week. I said yeah. I told him why. It was all good because he asked, and we had a conversation about that, and other shit. All good.
I just think that’s it’s a little more heated, since nobody has stepped up and just claimed the number 1 spot. Busta had it at first, then he fell back for a minute. JBA and myself popped up and won a few tournaments… now I’ve fallen back for a while… now Rico is up winning a few tournaments. It’s all good. I may start playing again soon, so maybe I’ll start popping off in a little bit, but whatever. It’s all good. This shit happens all the time. Did you guys see the Jibbo/Yeb shit over on the Gen forums? Ridiculous… But it is what it is.

This much is true strider is my boii and his abel is ridiculous no lie, but u have to go off tourney results. Which puts juicebox at number 1 strider is gonna go to norcal regionals so maybe he can stop being a scrub and not choke ;p.

a lot of ppl can’t determine what high level play is and start worshipping ppl based on wins against medicore players. Also lot of ppl confuse exposure with being good. When they see US abel like Strider Busta Jba do resets they jizz their pants. Can someone show me a shiro vid where he uses reset ? almost never right ? I wonder why…
Sorry but Utah ranbats Az Ranbats and battlefield arcadia ( unless Wong Marn or Sabin plays ) wins dont mean much to me. There are some decent players in those tourney sure and I’m not saying I can beat all of them. But when I see a grand finals with danimitsu who loses with 3 different chars trying to counterpick or rico suave beasting on mario dood in a 7-3matchup or Utah vids where ppl cant even do combos I cant help but say the are only beating mid level players.
Anyway . The only player that can talk is juicebox because of what he did at evo.
I’m not saying hes the best but he’s the only one who placed at a high level tournament ( even if he was seeded)
also juicebox dancing is awesome which makes him the abel ambassador
