The one and only Rico Suave

Doesn’t matter who I am, I’m just saying what I think. you’re a good Abel beasting on average comp who happens to get his vids posted in a popular YouTube channel because he plays at the same place some of the top US players play at. Nothing to get excited about.

Actually does matter who you are cause who are you to judge anything? And I’m pretty sure evil rahsaan/Dieminion would wash you up with ease I would go as far to say mariodood, and another thing not all of my tournament matches gets recorded, one of my best grand finals when I had to fight Skype, he is the best Honda I ever fought… why am I explaining anything to you, when you don’t know what you’re talking about…

Sorry buddy, learn what an opinion is and learn to respect them even if it hurts your feelings.

nice av homey i bleed volta

rico clearly is good, but i have yet to see him even pull off a fw.mk -> st. hp cod link. he is very tricky with his jabs, though. would like to see him punish his fw.mk’s that hit

oh, and better than juicebox? please

Lol, not doing that link means nothing. Its a good link and hurts, but everyone has their styles. Also remember that some characters can duck s.fp, and even I dont always go for it, I just continue pressure. Depends on my mood

Might as well change the thread title to “Discussion: Best Abel Players in the States”

Personally, I also think Juicebox is on top of his game right now. His game is so precise and smart, specifically with footsies. I’m not hatin’ on Rico, his Abel is good too. Lots of risk taking with the rolling and air-to-air resets, but whether or not he’s aware of this, he knows how to bait shit and play some mindgames.

You contradicted yourself there Rico, with the whole 'be happy that other Abels are doing it big rather than saying negative things/comparing them to others". Pretty much washed down Juicebox’s Abel because of his local scene/how he got a spot at Evo and compared him with yourself and your local scene… Spread the Abel love, don’t bring this WC/EC crap in here as if any Abel players are being represented in that rivalry anyways, heh.

Rico, mind having some friendly player matches with me? I tried getting some with Juicebox’s Abel but damn connection won’t allow us to join each other’s lobbies.

My feelings aren’t hurts, its all good, btw I do pull that link off for the most part… but meh I could care less for being the best in the states, all I said about j.box to begin was to come to the NEC.

Close thread already lol

Good Stuff to Rico. Keep it up!

Rico is the best Abel player my far at least in the US… Juicebox is an average able player.

Rico is the only and only abel player in the US that gives me problems…

Rico is the most ENTERTAINING abel in america… but with that being said this
"sport" can only grow by entertaining crowds. you go to rutger park (or watch the and1mixtape) because you are entertained… but nobody goes to watch Manhattan college or St johns play… hell people dont even watch the KNICKS play.

Im still a huge fan of Strider because he is more of an underdog playing from utah, while RIco has the NYC exposure.

How can he “play against no comp” in one of your post… and then in the next post say he is playing with some of the top players???
NJ/NYC is serious business. I am not saying we are GODS up here, and i know you can have someone come out of a small place (like strider) and beast, but seriously man your contradicting yourself in the same post.

“B level” empire arcadia is still A level anyplace else… especially so-cal :lovin:

I don’t care to respond to this thread, in general, but I do wanna respond to that.

No.

B-Level Empire Arcadia is… B-Level. People new to the scene seem to think Empire is just the most godlike representation of SF ever… nah. Common nickname for EMP used to be the Wongpire, because Justin was the only one people were really concerned with, outside of Marvel.

So, let’s take SF4. Justin is on top. Sanford seems really good (I haven’t played him yet…), Marn is mashing fools up, Art is beasting.

I respect it. Art came down to my area twice, and took our money. That’s cool. Marn came down… got 2nd. Nobody else (and I mean this with 100% certainty) from the Empire could come down and win a tournament in the MD/VA area. Joe tried ( :lovin: )… sent him home with 2nd… who else could do it? Lincoln? Rahsaan? Dayasha ( )?

I don’t even mean any disrespect by that. I’m from NY, and a lot of EMP are my dudes, but let’s be real here. Only so-called “B-Level” EMP guy that could realistically come down here and get to grand finals would be Andre, IMO. Nobody else.

And this is just MD/VA. That’s why I think all these EMP videos are hilarious. Guys that didn’t play… talking shit about guys they probably wouldn’t beat. They’re not that good…

First of all, it’s Rucker Park.

Secondly, even on the night with the lowest attendance of the season, the Knicks get 100x more people than the Rucker.

As for Strider… how is he an underdog? I can see you saying that if you see him playing against Cali or something… but, and maybe I’m missing it since I don’t really check for his videos, does he play anybody outside of Utah? If two Utah players are going at it… what… are they both underdogs since they’re from Utah? That doesn’t make any sense.

Good Shit HAV

someone rep him?

kraiden trolls ridiculously hard. He posts flowchart videos in the Ken forums, and types shit like he just did and pretends to be serious. Either he’s trying to be funny or really stupid.

Abel family unite!
We must stick together yo! (no homo)

lololol
